Ever get the feeling you're outnumbered, Preston? And you should know better, with your majority-female household!

Thank you so much for being so lovely and for defending me against Preston as last weekend I had terrible trouble from him and even MrG took his side over mine. I cried myself to sleep last weekend :crying:
with laughter :giggle:
It was so lovely to meet you too o/

...Alright before some grasses me up, I also went to the Curson Soho cinema to watch a movie and couldnt resist trying out their delicious meringue on what is my non reward day

Ms Thrifty, sorry you're not recovered yet, hope your visit today was productive. But be patient, and are you doing those alternative exercises to keep yourself in tick...hmmm? ;)

Preston, watch your surroundings ;) I've been in a bit of a pickle in the past, myself

Diane, watching your ticker signature move is as exciting as watching Bolt running a 200m race, so close to the finish line! o/ o/ And did I hear you almost got a 6 pack?! And did I pick on you last week? Shame on me, and look at what you've achieved! Go on slap m....OWW...ow mhy-mhy nhose :(

Ha ha no problem I'm not scared of a meringue eating man (that's rich for a fitness guru on his not treat day ;) ) I've not got a 6 pack its the oblique muscles that are visible and have definition, the DVD I use creates defined lines not the 6 pack look (I don't want that :noo: ) I want to look girly not muscular as I'll always be curvy :noo: its just my shape. :tears:

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with strawberries and a banana with a black coffee (250 calories)
Pea soup anakin style with a slice of wholemeal bread or garlic sausage salad sandwich followed by 2 apricots (400 or 350 calories)
Chilli and butternut squash quesadillas (427 calories) strawberries, melon, kiwi and weight watchers jelly (70 calories)
Cadbury's options with or without 4 giant chocolate buttons depending on lunch.

Exercise DVD and a 4 mile walk.
I the weather improves I will go to Formby beach and take a sandwich for my lunch or if it stays rubbish I will start doing my paintwork in the living room and I have new fab silk curtains that my friend made which are too long so I will watch a couple of good films while I am hand sewing and waiting for the paint to dry, this was supposed to be my project when I'm off for 4 days next week (wc 13th August) but I had home from work last night and I had a massive shock - my daughter had done all the housework and ironing, its never happened before so I hot footed to B & Q last night so I'm prepared for either painting or the beach and just ordered some fab wall paper from Laura Ashley for a feature wall :cheer:

What is everyone else up to today? - I assume that Preston is too scared to post after we picked on him last night ;) I know that Valda will have got herself back on the straight and narrow and havingascreen must be home by now!

I will be down in London for a day in October and if any of you girls and a meringue eating man are free I will b*y you all a cake to thank you all for your support as I should be on track by then or at least I will have it as my treat day. o/
I will have to get up to Edinburgh sometime to treat Biggins and havingascreen and I'm already sorted with Preston. Can you see why I put on weight - too much socialising

I have no idea as I'm going to Berlin on the 31st August for 3 days when I hope to be on target, then Sheffield on 4th September (just visiting university with daughter) but will probably involve eating out and then York on the 8th September (daughter's 19th and she wants to go there). I will have to think of a plan as I don't want to put it back on as soon as I've lost it so any suggestions will be very welcome o/

I have my doubts that you'll put it straight back on if only because your eating habits have changed. I think you should enjoy your holiday and day out (while being sensible-ish) as I suspect you'll want to get back to your exercise when you get back. Anyway you're a walker on holiday aren't you? Certainly don't worry about it - you'll just spoil your holiday.

Perhaps this is where MrG comes in and does a masterclass on maintaining weight, rather than losing it.

Woah - I was on here only yesterday morning but there's been a mega amount of posts in the meantime - so many that it's pretty difficult to keep up. And I've seen so many "anti men" sexist insults and politically incorrect outpourings from so many of you ladies :nono: 8O and a plethora of barbed remarks, aimed in my general direction  that I'm not sure where to start to answer them all :shifty: ;)

So, do you know what? I'm not even going to try, as I would be on all day, ......and even then you'd probably turn on me to savage me once again like a pack of hungry wolves.

As my mate Spanner would say, "I've got my fingers in my ears and I can't hear the nasty things you are saying! - LA LA LA LAA LA LAAA!!"

I'll just take some solace in knowing that I am in the right and you lot :shifty: are known to have persecuted others in the past ;) hence MrG's warning to me

It's lovely to see MrG on the threads again o/ - I could do with some more support from some other blokes to even up the numbers. We did have that Barry guy on here that Diane used to bully at school because she fancied him, but he hasn't been around for a bit now. Diane probably scared him off!

Anyhow, Well done on your splendid Squash achievements MrG - you Sir, are a true athlete! o/

Yeah EJ, she does seem to have the ability to behave for a couple of hours at a time - it's the blips in between these episodes that we all need to watch out for though! :p

Yeah, that's got the ring of truth to it! - Oh no! wait a moment....... what's this........

Thanks for the compliment MrG  Yeah I wouldn't brave London traffic either - this is more my kind of thing:

So that's why her neighbour can't keep up with her on her fast walks!

Todays Menu:

1) Two Weetabix semi skimmed milk.

2) Homemade parsnip and honey soup - If I can find a woman to make it for me - me being a helpless bloke and all! ;)

3) Massive Salad with Chicken and all the usual salady and vegetabley stuff.

4) Earl Grey tea with lemon. Toast and Marmite.

Lovely to hear from MsT and Valda after all this time - I was wondering how you were both going on. :D

Hope the injury sorts itself out soon MsT - but don't be using that as an excuse not to come on here - we still want to hear what you've been getting up to! :D

Make sure you visit more regularly too Valda, Three wheels on your wagon, or not !

Be good and have fun whatever you are doing, everyone! :D

You should take up cycling as your ongoing weight maintenance regime Diane, once you reach your goal! Your neighbour would probably b*y a bike as well though!! Lol! :D

Or better still why not get yourself up to the North East? - I've cooking and ironing that needs doing!

:shifty: Why do women have small feet?................. ;)

....And before you cry "foul", girls - just remember who started this sexist stuff!!
