Hi everyone, well I felt like I let myself down a bit yesterday as I only managed a 20 length slow swim, but did my exercise dvd in the morning too for 10mins so not too bad. Just weighed myself, I've lost 2lbs :) :) seeing Brave this morning with a free popcorn thanks to o2 priority moments, but will hopefully burn it off with a swim later if the pains in my hands subsides. Have a good day all :)

Well done Clarebarr! 2lbs is a great weight lose and will give you more incentive to carry on with your swimming. I never count how many lengths I swim I just do what I feel like and if someone I know is in the pool at the same time we talk as we swim so can't count.

Last night hubby and I were at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo up at the castle. It was the late show and didn't finish until well after midnight so by the time the crowds all got out it was impossible to get a taxi. Late night buses weren't running our way so we ended up walking all the way home - which was good exercise for me but my husband was about done in by the time we got in the house. :(

Walking up to the cinema today and walking back so that (and housework) will be my exercise for the day.

A bacon roll and cup of tea this morning. A banana and a yoghurt when I come in from the cinema. Leg of lamb tonight with potatoes, cauliflower, broccolli and carrots. Only two small potatoes for me - and I can feel another pot of soup in the making with the leftover veg as hubby will not eat much of that!

Have a good day. o/

Hadmy treat day yesterday and was very bad, had work on the night so woke up late so went straight to a carvery for lunch, had no dessert though, then went Solihull to b*y the bf a game, then nothing till about 8 and ended up with sausage and chips cause his dad hadn't b*ght anything for the house other than crumpets, which I had for breakfast this morning.
Needing to have a good week this week is an understatement.

One hour and twenty minutes. Not that it would have been that long if on my own but hubby has breathing problems and kept having to stop which concerned me too. My daughter b*ght the tickets for us thinking it was a nice surprise for my husband as he used to work at the Tattoo several years ago but now he found it very difficult to climb up the very steep steps to our seat and the road up to the castle is also steep. However he did enjoy it.

Off to walk to the cinema now. o/

Good Morning Everyone!

Wow, that's a tremendous result! o/

:cheer: Woohoo! Well Done, ClareBarr! :cheer:

Isn't it great to start seeing all your exercising and determination to succeed start to p*y off! ...And, 2lbs is just the right amount of weight to be losing per week. This is bound to be a great incentive for you to keep on going with the sensible eating and exercise. I wouldn't get overly bothered about the number of lengths you swam the other day if I was you. I think if you do what you feel comfortable with, and fit your exercise in when you can around your episodes of pain, then you will do great!! Enjoy that pop-corn - you've earned it!! o/

Im glad you both made it home safe and sound Biggins o/ You must have been very worried at the time! Great to hear that your OH enjoyed the evening though and what a lovely, thoughtful, daughter you must have to get those tickets for you. :D

Today's Meals:

1) Two Weetabix with a handful of strawberries and semi-skimmed milk. Black coffee.

2) Leek and potato soup, crusty brown bread.

3) Chicken and vegetable risotto. Fresh fruit salad.

4) Sardines in tomato sauce on toast. Earl Grey Tea with lemon.

Exercise:

1) Half an hour on a bike around the doors - 6 miles.

Be good - drive carefully! :D

Well done ClareBarr on your 2lbs weight loss. That is absolutely brilliant :cheer: You certainly haven't let yourself down with the swim 20 lengths is brilliant and I'm sure that if I had done 20 lengths this morning you would be giving me praise not putting me down so I'll have less of that negativity please :nono: You have a medical condition that causes you pain and fatigue so in my books you are an inspiration o/ (Sorry for going on at you as you are lovely but its really sad to hear you putting yourself down when if you looked at it from an outsider you would see what an amazing lady you are - I am only saying it as I do care).

Well done Biggins on all that walking we must have both been in the walking mood yesterday. I went to Formby beach yesterday and did a walk on the beach, a sand dune trail (I did it bare foot so I could grip better), a woodland walk, a squirrel trail then a 2 mile walk into the town centre and back (I had to b*y daughter a 99 as she was moaning a bit as I kept on finding extra walks - she is an adult  ).

Rawr_xoxo hope you enjoyed your carvery - treat days are to be enjoyed guilt free. I just love Yorkshire puddings at a carvery :D

I'll just take some solace in knowing that I am in the right and you lot are known to have persecuted others in the past hence MrG's warning to me

It's lovely to see MrG on the threads again - I could do with some more support from some other blokes to even up the numbers. We did have that Barry guy on here that Diane used to bully at school because she fancied him, but he hasn't been around for a bit now. Diane probably scared him off!

You should take up cycling as your ongoing weight maintenance regime Diane, once you reach your goal! Your neighbour would probably b*y a bike as well though!! Lol!

Or better still why not get yourself up to the North East? - I've cooking and ironing that needs doing!

Why do women have small feet?.................

....And before you cry "foul", girls - just remember who started this sexist stuff!!
Now as for you young man I will think that you will find that you started it NER NER NER (luckily we are both mature and can discuss this as adults) and I thought that Spanner was a girl so I'm sure that she will be on the girl's side. I didn't go around bullying boys at school as I wanted to kiss them but nowadays it depends what sweets are on offer (I know that any man would give me their sweets if I threatened to kiss them - you don't know what I look like so when you do you will know what I mean) :giggle: I should try it on my treat day  Well done though on all your healthy meals and on your 42 mile bike ride you would actually need the high calorie food so its good - you couldn't do it on a bowl of Special K.

Well done MrG on all your exercise you certainly are an inspiration o/

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with strawberries and a banana with a black coffee (250 calories)
Pea soup anakin style with a slice of wholemeal bread followed by 2 apricots (400 calories)
Chilli and butternut squash quesadillas (427 calories) I made so much yesterday I have enough for today - if anyone has the patience to make this (probably Preston), the finely chopping a butternut squash takes about 30 mins but it is so worth it and I would recommend just using one tortilla and just putting the squash mixture on one side when browning the tortilla as I got in a bit of a mess trying to flip it over as a squash sandwich luckily that was OH's whereas mine turned out beautifully - he didn't notice as he was watching the Olympics at the same time) strawberries, melon, kiwi and weight watchers jelly (70 calories)
Cadbury's options.

I will do a 4 mile walk today and I will be doing a bit of painting(sanding down the paintwork and doing a first coat of paint), I have a nest of tables that I sprayed last year but one of them needs another coat so I will do that today and hand hemming my new curtains.

Have a fun day everyone. I have just seen that Preston and MrG has posted at the same time and it seems that we are all singing from the same hymn sheet :D

LOL - That is funny! :D However I feel that I know you well enough to be almost certain that you'll have taken the messed up one for yourself. ;)

... And yes, you are right, I would like to give that a go sometime! Can you send me the ingredients list and some hints/tips and clues on how to go on with it, please? I'm thinking it's going to be vegetarian - but despite that, it sounds really tasty, so would be a meal that would do for all the family without having to cook various alternatives for once.

:shifty: Surely it doesn't take you half an hour to dice up a butternut squash though? ;) :p
