LOL - That is funny! :D However I feel that I know you well enough to be almost certain that you'll have taken the messed up one for yourself. ;)

... And yes, you are right, I would like to give that a go sometime! Can you send me the ingredients list and some hints/tips and clues on how to go on with it, please? I'm thinking it's going to be vegetarian - but despite that, it sounds really tasty, so would be a meal that would do for all the family without having to cook various alternatives for once.

:shifty: Surely it doesn't take you half an hour to dice up a butternut squash though? ;) :p
I'm afraid to say he did have the messed up one as he was moaning about it having no meat in it and I'm not going to reward bad behaviour :nono: plus I made his first. http://www.womanandhome.com/recipes/531 ... uesadillas and unfortunately it does take forever dicing it up the rest of the prep was less than 10 minutes so it all evens out time wise. As you will have loads of fresh coriander left and you know I don't waste food try and make Anakin's pea soup http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/533998 for the following day - it takes 10 minutes to prepare and I'm just waiting for mine to cook it smells delicious o/ I'm not putting in the double cream.

Done all my painting/ sanding for today so its making my pea soup and sewing of curtains time. I wish that gloss would dry quickly as I really would like to do its second coat now as I have my DIY clothes on and will need to change for sewing silk I would be naffed off if I got paint on them.

Exactly he's 52 years old and should know by now how to behave

Anakin your pea soup is absolutely deicious I had it with a slice of wholemeal bread (thats all I had in) but it would go even better with chapatis - I still have a portion left so luckily we have a new Indian shop (I don't mean a Mancunian who happens to have a distant relative who comes from India I mean a proper authentic shop) around the corner so I will go and b*y some flour and I will have to learn how to make them - they are lovely in there so I'm sure they will give me some tips. Naan bread has way too many calories but I'm sure that it would be heaven with a peshwari naan.

Now Diane65 this really is too much. All your lovely cooking (going so far as to make your own chapattis!), decorating, exercising ('just going for my 5 mile walk now"), cleaning and ironing -- well I am feeling very guilty for my idleness.

My sincere thanks to both Anakin and Diane65 for those recipes - I've had a look at them and they both look fab. :D

Rest assured Madhur (if you are reading this ;) ) - that despite being on a diet, I will be using the double cream, and probably having the soup with a plain naan. It's OK!- it'll be my weekly treat one lunchtime next week.

The quesadillas are pencilled in for dinner later the same day too - the recipe pics look fab - hope mine turn out looking as attractive! :P Maybe I'll post up some pics, or if it turns out not so good visually maybe not, who knows! ;)

I'll obviously be trying out for the FMUK record for deseeding and finely dicing a butternut squash. :shifty: I'm aware that there's two schools of thought about the necessity to peel the rind off butternut squashes but I assume, Diane that you - like me, belong to the one that thinks you should for this particular dish, Yes?

Please pass on my commiserations to Mr65 for the trauma he has suffered at your hands with this dish :p :P

Please could someone take pity on me and point me in the direction of anakin's pea soup recipe? It must be pages back and I have looked, but not sure how far I need to go.

To demonstrate my gratitude I won't mention what I'm about to have for dessert... though after working a busy shift, shopping en route home (just made it into Sainsbury's minutes before they shut) and doing dinner (OH is indisposed) before having another early night, I think I deserve a small reward!

Actually, jojojoanne, it's a bit of a mystery even to me, as whatever it is (which I b*ght in Windsor a few weeks back) has suffered somewhat from travelling home on busy trains, being frozen and then defrosted, but I think it's some sort of fruit frangipane tart. Though if Preston/Mr G are reading this, it's sugar-free sorbet or something similarly suitable.

I FOUND THIS:

I made a huge batch of pea soup once which was amazing. I have it in one of my recipe books but think this might be the recipe: http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/533998.
