Loving the pictures of your respective cake slices, Diane65 and Preston. I think you are both deserving with all your hard work. And here I sit admiring you both!

Yeehaa! Congratulations to our own medal-worthy WW team, and massively (oh dear, not the best choice of word but then, nor is "hugely") well done to Diane65 and Preston1990!

Thank you so much girls for always being there on our journey o/ I don't know why but I've just had another look at our cake pictures and I could eat one right now  Hope you had a fun day jojojoanne o/

Menu of the day:
Allbran and a banana followed by a black coffee (350 calories)
A multigrain wholemeal ham salad (rocket, cucumber, spinach, cucumber and 4 tomatoes) sandwich with 2 apricots and a kiwi (300 calories)
Jacket potato with cottage cheese and pineapple with a large salad as per lunch but with peppers and spring onions with balsamic vinegar as a dressing followed by melon and grapes (450 calories as a large potato)

I know its too many of the same veg but I'm working 8 until 7 so I want something really quick to prepare as I want to do 3/4 (furniture still in the middle of the room  ) of my exercise DVD after and need to digest it a bit before I start exercising and if I do it too late I can't sleep (I know it sounds like a lot of excuses but I will have my chicken with broccoli, carrots and sweetcorn tomorrow.

I know I'm working 45 hours this week but there is method in my madness, I'm off next week apart from Tuesday and I want to get all the extra work done now so that I can just work the one day next week. The week off was originally for decorating but if I can finish the ceiling tomorrow evening its just the walls I can have a fun week.

Have a fun day everyone. Looking forward to hearing about everyone's day.

Why do the male members of this thread end up from being like the girls who are keeping fit to maintain a healthy body suddenly change to become athletes? I remember the same happening to MrG ending up a marathon runner and now Preston is doing 8 hours on a bike 8O Is it the testosterone or something else?

Hope that Valda, ClareBarr, havingascreen and rawr_xoxo are all keeping well as we've not heard from you all for a few days.

Firstly sorry for the long delay between me first mentioning that I had some "news" last night and then finally posting what it was. I'd lay down on the bed for a bit of a rest and actually fallen asleep for a couple of hours.

Thanks for all your congratulations, well done messages and kind words everybody! It's great to have you all allong on my journey (but hey! - it must be your turn to pedal now ;) I'm absolutely knackered :D )

I was thinking of another bike ride today (to keep up the momentum) but I've no energy left after reading what Diane's plans are - I've tired myself out! :p

A couple of points Diane - You really don't want to be using the phrase "male members" :nono: :nono: as it could be seriously misconstrued. 8O
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/male_member

If you could see me you'd laugh at the very suggestion that I'm becoming an athlete. I'm doing 8 hours on a bike not because I'm super-fit or testosterone fuelled, no - it's because I'm old, knackered and super-slow. If I want to cover 50 miles then that's how long it takes me 8-). Even taking a generous hour off for rest and cake stops, my average speed yesterday was only around 8 miles an hour! Or just twice as fast as the pace you walk at Diane!

Hoy and Wiggins won't exactly be running scared, and furtively looking over their shoulders, now will they! :p
Preston1990 wrote: I've no idea yet how many I've done and whether I've hit the 50 mile mark or not - I'll need to use Diane's Mapmywalk equivalent website for bikes Mapmyride to plot my route on later to find out whether I've done it or not. So watch this space!

I've checked the distance I covered yesterday now and it works out at 54.49 miles. Not too shabby for an old seriously overweight bloke, eh? ;) o/

Yep - Me too! What have you been up to ladies? Hope all is well!

Well done Preston on your weight lose! o/ Eight hours in the saddle 8O you sound like you are in competion with John Wayne! ;)

I weight myself tomorrow but not full of hope for a lose this week as although I have swam and walked I know myself I have eaten too many carbs this week with sandwich lunches. Have friends coming this afternoon so will not be exercising today as they stay till early evening - but I am sure my tongue will get plenty of exercise! ;)

Have substituted the banana with cereal for blueberries for this week - they are supposed to be good for you and don't have as much sugar content as bananas.

Lovely day here today and would have liked to go swimming but can't put my friends off as haven't seen them in ages - also missing the cinema tonight. :(

Speak to us havingascreen we know you are back from holiday - you can tell us if you have put on weight. It doesn't matter if you have as you will lose it again. I go away on the 20th August and I know I will eat too much as the temptation is too great when all the delicious food is there in front of you.

Have a good day everyone - don't ride off into the sunset Preston remember to come back for your tucker round the campfire like all good cowboys!! :p

That's excellent news because I had some blueberries this morning too. Lol at the John Wayne comments, Biggins - I think I'm walking like him today. ;)

I'm almost sure that all of your swimming and walking will more than make up for any slight over-indulgence on the old carbs front. Well, I've got my fingers crossed for you anyhow! :cross:

Diane your today's menu sounds very nice. Healthy and tasty too - a winning combination! o/

Here's my Today's Menu: o/

1) Two Weetabix with skimmed milk, yellow raspberries, blueberries and one fresh fig.

2) Salad leaves with sweetcorn, tomatoes, cellery, and chicken fillets with balsamic glaze.

3) Beans on Toast with HP sauce.

4) Steamed brocolli and cauliflower florets with soy sauce.

5) Pot of Earl Grey Tea with lemon.

I'm so last week on the breakfast front as I've just started on the bananas and you two are on blueberries

Where are you going to on holidays Biggins? Havingascreen please come back :D
Good luck with the weigh in in the morning Biggins o/

Preston now here we go again - don't put yourself down :nono: 8 hours on a bike takes some stamina that is amazing o/

Your menu sounds good Preston - like the beans! Just what cowboys eat after a day in the saddle!! ;)

We are going on a coach trip down to Wales and staying in a castle. A Warners holiday - no children allowed! o/ Been before so that is why I know I will not be able to resist the food. Away Monday to Friday with trips included and no driving for my husband so he can see the scenery and have a beer at lunchtime!!

Well done MrG for all the mobey you're raising for charity, & well done Preston & Diane for your weight loss! Very impressive.

My boyfriend & I went to Brighton on Tuesday (we had 99 flake ice creams on the pier, & burger & chips in an American diner there!), & I stayed with a girlfriend & her kids last night. So no exercise for me over the past few days, & a bad diet!! Oh well I'm off for a swim now, I doubt I've lost any lbs!!
