Saw this at Finchley Road.

Nothing special. Having seen the other Bournes, it was similar to watching a "rogue" Bond film like Never Say Never Again. Competent, but it just doesn't feel the same. And I never really got into the story.

Saw this in Showcase Glasgow where I saw teddybear1 (forgot to ask her OH how his team did yesterday even though I knew the score :P) and also Ploggit. Majority of the audience were of the grey haired variety.

As a standalone film I think it was alright. Must be one of the only few who thought it didn't feel how long 135 minutes was. Definitely a film of two sections and for the most part of the first bit I followed it. Can't say I remember much of the Bourne trilogy even though I have seen all three. Didn't feel I needed to. Renner was alright as a replacement to Damon. 6/10

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

first half wasnt bad, but maybe a tad too slow straight after Samsara.

Remner is a hot guy and buffed up pretty well for the role but he looks too old to begin a fresh franchise. No way is he going to look this buff 9 years down the line. Also he looks too grunt-ish for the role. I think he looks more like a Russell Crowe-type, a bit slower, tougher, slow build-up character than Bourne. Will see how the franchise pans out, but this is not a great start, its merely ok.

In contrast, his costar Weisz is absolutely caked in make-up which she doesnt even need to play a senior doctor. But she can manage a US accent these days with aplomb.

In the end I was sold on the movie, but only because I pretended Remner's character was the same guy from Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol...after remembering what he said in MI - 'We all have our secrets, dont we Ethan?' heehee.
