We made it there as well - BIG THANK YOU to the Fmukers for help!
Again it was a bit of a struggle with Sunday trains, aimed for 9.30 but arrived after 10! well, at least we didn't miss the beginning!

The target audience (my child) was watching it with interest and quite enjoyed it. I'll be honest I enjoyed Coraline more.... Nice breakfast today with salmon minibagels and fruit being the highlights! Nice friendly zombies... I also expected it to be scarier then it was....
A small child (under 5) kicking my seat with his feet for most of the film didn't add to my enjoyment of the film....
To sum it all up it was worth the effort and a good entertainment for a Sunday morning!

Well I was surprised by this as I had low expectations and quite enjoyed it! The treat of breakfast beforehand was lovely and so nice to see so many FMUKers around both before, during and afterwards. It was a very nice gathering. I wondered if some children might find it scary but Rainey's children assured me they were fine -- nice to meet Rainey and family for the first time -- though I am sure my daughter would have never coped with it when she was younger.

Thank you to Valda for being her +1 and lovely to see Ejwrank as well at the end.

This was a really enjoyable film. The stop motion was great and made a change from all the computer generated animation lately. Quite an adult film in some places and in some places the audience was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Not bad for a kids film where even they were quiet. I did think there was quite a frightening bit of the witch and her appearance. I think my nephews would have been scared by this.

A nice Sunday morning screening and always good starting the day with cakes and juice. I was a bit hyper afterwards.

8.5/10

P.S. After all the feedback on the Coconut water...I'm too scared to drink it..gulp.

It actually tastes better when chilled. More like the juice from a real coconut. It is quite bland tasting, but refreshing if you are hot and thirsty in a hot country!

I was pretty amazed by this film for several reasons. Great stuff for sure. Should have Conservatives in the US flipping out, which is always welcomed.

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

I was also at the screening on Sunday morning. It was a bit of a shock waking up so early in my summer holidays but it was completely worth it. The breakfast was incredible (the croissants and branded biscuits especially) and the film was one of the best I've seen this year, easily the best animation. The story was delightfully unusual, the voice cast excellently humorous, and the stop-motion visuals spell-binding. 9/10

Thanks to jeancomp for taking me along to a ParaNorman screening tonight which she won tickets to. Shame that the cinema wasn't overly full. I always thought the BFI Southbank is a classy cinema where the audience actually behave for once. Oh well. We had a family behind us where Dad constantly talked to son and a couple of mobile users dotted around but I guess you can't have it all. And there were loads of people leaving during the Q&A. You knew it came with a Q&A - you b*ght tickets for the event - why leave? I have done it myself before but usually only if I hated the film and I did it quickly at the first opportunity when the credits rolled - not halfway through usually, unless it's really really boring. I thought it was quite interesting, though there was too much nerdy talk about stop-motion, but I liked the question of the little (well-behaved) boy directly in front of me who asked whether the director had ever seen a ghost himself.
