I saw it last night at Islington Vue and I'm glad that I got there 20 minutes early as it was packed. I think the film was absolutely amazing. The cast was perfect. I think the writing was strong and there were no poor lines coming out of the strong characters mouth. I loved the little jokes, they were just enough for the type of movie it was. Tom Hardy once again was brilliant and I think Shia LeBeouf proved that he can act and not just run away from big machines. I loved Cricket Pete character who was basically (in my opinion) Leonardo DiCaprio as Arnie Grape from "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". I recommended to my friends and family as I think it was one of the best movie of 2012. 9/10

Saw this at Vue Extreme screen last night - really enjoyed it. Must confess to not seeing the trailer or knowing what it was really about before I saw it (and didn't know it was based on a true story) but I really enjoyed it. Is quite graphic with the violence but doesn't go OTT and the story has emotion, you really route for the characters and want to kill Guy Pearces' character yourself! I would recommend - 9/10

That's who it was, it was bugging new all through the film as to who the character was like.

Saw this at Vue (stratford westfields) and contrary to all the criticism, i actually enjoyed it. a bit long and seemingly overdrawn but enjoyable and I felt every kind of emotion throughout the whole movie. From wanting to slap the kid brother, to wanting to throttle the annoying slick deputy.
WORTH THE WATCH....!!!!!

Pity about Tom Hardy's Bane impression throughout, making him almost undecipherable.
Bit of a Dopey name though - Forest. Kept thinking "Run, Forest. Run!"

Poor Cricket!

Took me a while to clock Guy Pearce as his character was quite convincing. When I did though I just thought - there's Mike outa Neighbours. Lol.

Seen today in a very packed Cameo, Edinburgh. Telegrapher readers were out in force despite a nice sunny day here. Good to see after last week's poor attendance for A Night In The Woods.

An easy 8/10 from me.

I saw this today at Greenwich Picturehouse. I really enjoyed it. Quite violent, which I don't mind in a movie!! Although, I much prefer violence from the olden days than current day, if that makes sense!! I thought Jack (Shia LaBeouf) was 'proper gorge'!! I would definitely recommend this film.

Saw this at Hampstead Everyman this morning. Bit of a shambles in that at 11.15 they asked us to move to a different screening room, which meant there weren't enough seats so those without got free tickets to another screening and some free drinks (almost disappointed we got seats... almost...) and then finally the film started at 11.45.

Anyway, I rather enjoyed this. A roller coaster of emotions, the odd laugh, that feeling of dread... some of the violence was unwatchable for me, but then I'm squeamish about stuff like that. There was the odd moment when Tom Hardy actually did his Bane voice, which made me chuckle, and Guy Pearce was fantastic.

A solid 8/10 from me!

Hi guys,

Saw the Lawless preview at Everyman Screen on the Green yesterday. Enjoyed the film, although I would criticise it for lingering on the violence in too graphic a detail, I felt that they could have used cutaways more and allow your imagination to conjure up the gruesomeness of watch was not shown on screen. That said I found the directors respect of woman and the violence towards them shot respectfully. Overall it was a fine film and was pleased to have seen it. Tom Hardy was excellent, and Shia Labeouf has shown he can still be this generations Tom Hanks with a mature performance.

Any thoughts?
