Not good news this morning - have put on 2lbs!!!!! :noo: Have had a bad week with far too many carbs - but a good week with entertaining and meeting friends so it was worth it.

Off to the swimming pool to try and get back on track.

Hard luck, biggins, but like you say, you had a good week with friends, so a little gain won't hurt. Good luck with the coming week!!

Commiserations Biggins - I know what that's like and i'm feeling your pain! :tears:

Not to worry - keep plugging away and we'll hopefully both get a better result next week! o/ :D

Nice restaurant menu Diane - I'd have the sea bass for a main course if it was me! o/

Don't worry Biggins its a new day and a new week in our healthy lifestyle and we will get there between us. I can strongly recommend a broken tooth for losing weight ;) Thats the only reason I'm below target as I can't chew :noo: Enjoy your swim o/

I agree the menu does look good but I'll have to be good as I'm out for a meal tomorrow as well. shifty:

Thanks for your kind thoughts folks. Why is it easier to put weight on than it is to shift it!!!! It takes a lot of effort to lose a pound but no effort whatsoever to put it on - life ain't fair! :(

Enjoyed my swim - the outdoor pool was very warm as the sun was out this morning but I fear that will soon change as autumn is definately on it way.

Hope you are feeling better ClareBarr and more able to enjoy your swimming.

Preston - you and I will have better results next week! :cross:

So pleased you enjoyed your swim Biggins and its true life ain't fair. I'm like you and love to socialise. City breaks are good as you eats loads and walk loads so it balances out plus you can socialise all at the same time.

You and Preston will get there next week o/ You are both upbeat and positive so it will happen.

Confession time I had 4 chocolate biscuits and a packet of fruit pastilles yesterday no idea why I was doing paper work at work for a couple of hours and I just devoured them all within the space of 2 hours 8O  I had minestrone soup with a bread roll, baked aubergine with loads of veg and rice which I couldn't finish but somehow managed to eat a creme brulee even though I was full  I do feel uncomfortable today due to overeating.

I'm off to Lancaster today visiting the university so will be out for lunch and dinner. I will have a healthy lunch and I'm eating off the Borough bites menu tonight http://www.theboroughlancaster.co.uk/ma ... u-2012.pdf It is so easy to go back to my old eating habits with too much socialising.
I've had 2 slices of Hot Cross bun loaf for breakfast and a black coffee.

I will do lots of walking today and have a workout with the bands when I get home tonight.

Hope that everyone else has a happy and healthy day and that you are all feeling good today o/

I'm getting worse my healthy lunch was a large slice of Bakewell tart in a Garden Centre in Lancaster 8O Plus I've only just got in from my Lancaster University visit, which ended up being followed by a trip around a garden centre, then a wander around the city and finished off meeting my friend for dinner in Lancaster and only left just before 9pm hence no exercise either. I could pretend we were just catching up as its been ages since we last met up but it was only Tuesday evening when we last met - I'm just a bit too chatty :noo:

Where is everyone else? I hope that you are just keeping busy exercising and preparing healthy food.
I will be back to being healthy tomorrow and my next treat day will be Saturday. Good luck everyone else o/

Again, Diane, you are being too hard on yourself. I'm sure if you were visiting Lancaster University you were walking around for much of the day, so the slight indulgence of Bakewell tart and a nice dinner with a friend should be your just rewards and certainly nothing to apologise for! Hope the uni visit was a good one.
