Does anyone else feel that spin-off TV shows dilute the awesomeness of the movies they're based on?

And I'm actively watching Ultimate Spiderman which uses the Avengers characters in recurring roles and is even somewhat faithful to the comic books, but I despise to death the childishness of the show. And those damn Family Guy'esque cutaways.

As a Joss Whedon fan (seriously, the guy is my Hero and my biggest influence. He's also my idol in life). I cannot express how awesome the news is that not only a Sequel and TV show is coming from him, but he is able to set up and contribute to every other MCU movie and determine where to take the story, instead of being hired and given a checklist to go through and not make it feel like a checklist and give it epic structure.

Sounds like the Sequel will be even better than the original

Not if its expanding the universe and taking the opportunity to introduce new and lesser known characters that would potentially be risky to finance for a movie. If they are a hit in the show they can show up in one of the major sequels. Case in point, a Sheild show or a "Heroes for Hire" show introducing the likes of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones would be perfect and would totally be right for Joss to headline and develop

The f**king Bluray is censored: http://www.schnittberichte.com/news.php?ID=4135
For now it seems to be the German version but I wouldn't be surprised if ours gets the same treatment.

Spoilers in the link btw.

I am seriously pissed off about this since I truimphantly ordered the 6 disc boxset.
I thought the studios and especially the BBFC were done with shit like this.

From what I heard it has nothing to do with the BBFC but a big studio cock up... they pressed the "censored" version for the UK by "mistake".
I sent back my steelbook to HMV, now waiting for my US bluray (non censored, plus Joss' commentary) to arrive!
