I won a pair of tickets to see Cirque du Soleil: Immortal World Tour at the O2 yesterday which was very disappointing. I've always wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil performance, but this was a glorified Michael Jackson tribute act, not the acrobatic spectacle I was expecting. There were a few good acts (a pole dancer and wire acrobats) but they were far and few in between. 5/10

There've done so many shows Cirque du Soleil, it's hard to come up with something new and innovative, but they definitely threw a lot of money into the production or more specifically the video wall and those costumes that light up.

As I'd never seen a Cirque du Soleil show before it would've been new to me anyway. I just wanted more proper circus acts and less people just shouting "Michael" "Jackson" to the audience and dancing sequences that reminded me of Thriller Live.

And a lot of people questioned why it was held at the O2, especially when there's been so many empty seats at the show. They clearly were trying to get the money from the people who b*ght Michael Jackson concert tickets a few yrs ago...

Yeah I'm not a fan of anything but major concerts being held at the O2 as the vast space makes it really hard for the audience to connect to those on stage (and oftentimes even see what's happening!)

Even by their own standards, the circus acts for MJ:The Immortal Tour were very average.

They also had technical problems with the costumes not lighting up, a few sound issues and the show was running 25 minutes late.

How do they justify charging £100 a ticket? It's just naked greed aimed at those people who b*ght MJ concert tickets a few years back.

Is anyone thinking that the Rolling Stones tickets being so dear might prevent sales and they might stick a few on SFF? Or am I being naive?

Here's hoping but I wonder if people might thank it may be the last time they get a chance to see them !!! Last year I managed to see Cliff Richard, Dolly Parton and Status Quo at the O2 and on no occasion was the arena full and it always seemed that the same ground level seats were free (and tier 4 was on the main not being used). You would think any big long established name would sell out a 20,000 seat venue
