I thought the Owl City one at the end was pretty poor too. Though it was a nice touch that they got one half of the writing duo who wrote the 1982 novelty hit 'Pacman Fever' to write the 'Wreck It, Wreck-it Ralph' tune that also plays over the end credits.

absolutely loved this
seeing all those references to the arcade games takes me back a bit, very enjoyable and entertaining espically the play on words they referenced quite a few times to i thought was pretty smart and funny plus the kids seemed to love it too.

also loved the paperman sketch at the beginning

9/10

I found this fairly enjoyable but certainly not children's film of the year. The animation looked great, there were a few adult jokes, a decent voice cast (Silverman wasn't as annoying as I was expecting) and it had its fun moments. Perhaps the story lost its way in the second half when the focus was taken off Ralph. I don't think the 3D added much either. 7/10.

The short beforehand, however, was delightful.

Surprised by the 5 out of 10 ratings. I enjoyed the film, together with the Paperman short, which was simply charming.

No, the main feature wasn't another Toy Story, but that didn't mean this was awful. Far from it. I loved the Jane Lynch's character, the marching guards and the big reveal, which although OH spotted, I did not see coming.

As for Rhianna - I recognised the song straight away and was slightly bemused that she was featured so prominently on the soundtrack for what is essentially a family film.

Was expecting no fun in the foyer, but still a little disappointed. I always hold out hope at West End screenings!

So-so, but not unenjoyable. Some good gags and nice touches with the animation such as capturing the quirky movement of Felix and his mates.

On the minus side, apart from the OTT product placement, I felt there was potential for tapping more into the arcade nostalgia. They could have made more use of the retro characters and gone into more arcade worlds. Instead we're left mainly with a sickly saccherine world of Sugar Rush which I got fed up of to be frank.

I loved it. I have never been in an arcade so wasn't as familiar with the "famous" videogame characters used as I would've liked, but I still recognised a fair few. I thought having the story focus on the baddie was great in this case (Ralph was much more interesting than Felix) and there were a few twists and turns along the way that I didn't see coming.

What I liked most though was just how original the setting of film was. The fact that all these characters come alive when the humans aren't there (which I guess is very Toy Story, but it just feels very different) and then get to meet and interact via the main console is fantastic. There's so many opportunities there for future films or shorts. There's a nearly endless supply of other games future stories can be set in, though personally I'd love to see more of them interacting together as a group like at the Baddies-Anonymous (sp?) Ralph went to.

The film did drag a bit in the second half and could've done with being a good 15 minutes shorter, but other than that I thought it was great. 8.5/10

By the way, was it just me or was Mario (arguably one of the most famous video game characters) obviously missing? Fix-it-Felix was bearing a slight resemblance to him and Sugar Rush looked more than a little like Mario Kart but other than a passing mention of the guy himself and a mushroom in the lost-and-found he wasn't to be seen. Maybe they couldn't get the rights to the character.

This is some pretty great stuff, even if it feels quite imbalanced at times. Spectacular animation, though and smart use of 3D.

I loved it. Well worth it for John C. Reilly's voice alone! And Sarah Silverman was good too. I would watch it again today!
