Enjoy your weekend with your friends Andrews - I know we all want to lose weight but keeping up with friends and enjoying life is more important. You'll lose the weight again afterwards. Xmas is coming and we are going away for xmas and then away abroad just after New Year so all the work I have done for months will probably be undone - but I will just have to think how much heavier I would have been if I hadn't lose the weight before I went.

Off for a long walk down at the seaside this morning and Xmas shopping. Sea air will blow the cobwebs away after my late night last night with friends round. (We won't mention the overeating and the crisps that happened to disapppear from the bowl near me!! )

Thanks biggins! I have done so well and really hoped to lose those few pounds before Christmas. I am going to be back on track tomorrow and eat sensibly.
Today I am going to put some energy into the housework to burn off a few calories! I may even have time for a short walk too.
Well done on your weight loss - and yes, it's good that you have lost weight before you go away - that gives you room for manoeuvre (so to speak). We can always start again in the New Year! :D

Welcome to the thread and looking forward to your tips o/

Well done Biggins on the 1lb weight loss that is absolutely brilliant :cheer:

Andrews I'm with you on the socialising front its so hard with so many events going on but enjoy them and as you say we can start again in the new year - not that I'm dismissing this year.

Where is Preston?? Has he gone away on hols?

Well I'm ashamed to say that I have indulged over in Denmark - We stayed in a beautiful hotel and the food was so delicious it said it was bed and breakfast and a light evening buffet but what I ate cannot be described as light by any stretch of the imagination  but its holiday time oops forgot to mention they did serve coffee and cakes mid afternoon where they served the best Danish pastries ever still warm out of the oven and we had the added bonus of a drinks machine being available 24/7 so after a long day out it was lovely to help yourself to a delicious hot chocolate to drink in bed. I started off with yoghurt, granola and berries for breakfast but why oh why did I have to go back for cooked meats and dark bread and then finish it off with a couple of Danish pastries    We did walk around all day everyday from the moment we left the hotel until bedtime so may help with the damage limitations but as I weigh myself at work it may have to be done without shoes on so it won't quite be as bad - I'm expecting 2/3lb weight gain as you will be hard pushed to find anyone who ate as much as myself over the last 4 days

It will be my DVD today as I have done enough walking and as I'm off work today (got lots of flexi time left so thought that I would add it on to my holidays) I have no excuse for not fitting it in.

I've had Belvita for breakfast and still have to decide on the rest as OH wasn't able to get any fresh food in as he had a week off work as he needed a rest :wall: - How much resting can one person need? (hence he's not interested in joining me on my city breaks due to lack of get up and go (he would kill me if he read this)

Good luck everyone else today o/

Welcome back, Diane and glad you took advantage of the pastries. I mean what would be the point of going to Denmark without sampling the Danish pastries???

But you have to report on this thread when you are bad so we can encourage you to do better!! ;) You can see all the past remarks we have made to Preston when he has fallen by the wayside!

Glad you had a lovely time in Denmark Diane - Danish pastries are a must there - it would be like going to Italy and not having gorgeous Italian ice cream!!! Anyway you are below target so you have a few pounds extra to play with.

I'm also hiding...

But my OH is away this week, so it's probably time to break out the wii fit, actually weigh myself and find out how heavy I am and start doing some proper exercise. I've been refusing to do any due to an injury - but it has now healed, so there's no reason why I shouldn't start getting fit. (Apart from laziness, obviously.)

The diet on its own doesn't seem to be doing much, plus I'm not doing massively well with that at the moment either! I do need to start doing some exercise too.
