I've got up bright and early and done my exercise DVD so feel more with it than yesterday.
Menu of the day:
I've had sultana bran with a black coffee for breakfast (300 calories)
It will be beans on toast for lunch as for some stupid reason (on offer but not a bargain as too much to eat) I b*ght the fridge packs which are way too big and as DD opened it yesterday we will all be having it for lunch today (300 calories)
Weight watchers apricot yoghurt (50 calories)
Cheese and onion quiche plus a large salad (500 calories) and an apple (50 calories)
It will be interesting to see how we all get through the festive season and different tips to stay in shape. I've just been checking my diary and have now got 8 Christmas meals out, a beauty event with drinks and canapes plus a weekend in Edinburgh
Have a fun day everyone and looking forward to hearing your plans for the day. I'm having a day of housework and catching up on Downton Abbey before tonight's episode plus have 2 episodes of the Paradise to watch - if I can sit still for that long

Re: Weight Watchers
I did it! I've lost weight this week!
So, after my 6th daily weigh in, it looks like I've lost weight. At least a pound, maybe two, depending on fluctuations. I had a bit of a wobble mid week with the bad food, but I've ended the week on a win.
I have had takeaway and gone out for food, but I've also started weighing myself regularly, stuck to no snacks and really cut back on fizzy drinks. (I only ever drink the low calorie versions, but I think apart from the calorie side, cutting back is good for my health.) I've also made an effort to be extra good following a day of being extra bad - it's not falling off the wagon that counts, but how you get back on.
Had a rather big late lunch yesterday, but it ended up being both lunch and dinner and my friend insisted on walking all over London to make up for it. Was rather sceptical at the time, but we were out for hours (no exaggeration) and I haven't gained. This week has taught me that I need to be more active, it makes such a difference.
I'm glad I was brave enough to start standing on the scales again, it makes it easier to track progress.
Feeling positive today!

Re: Weight Watchers
Well done asamaic that is brilliant and it is keeping active that works wonders.
Just realised Downtons last episode was last week so only have one episode to watch - I'm gutted as I thought I had a double dose today
but have realised I have 3 episodes of The Paradise to catch up with - just watched one while I was doing my ironing so I am moving my body a bit

Re: Weight Watchers
Been swimming this morning in the outdoor pool. Streets were icing this morning so very cold. Done the washing and ironing and made a large pot of soup to freeze into batches.
Off in a while to check on two Tesco stores as a mystery shoppper - so won't tell you which ones.
That will give me a walk this afternoon.

Re: Weight Watchers
Didn't get to see Amour today despite getting there on time, which was a shame. However, in the failed attempt to see the film, I ran up and down loads of escalators (3 tube lines, so there were indeed plenty!) and then went to the shops on the way home to pick up more soup and Special K cracker crisps. So not a complete write off, I reckon I got some good exercise there plus stocked up on the good food.
I admit, I picked up a bag of pains aux chocolat off the shelf and very nearly b*ght them. Figured out I could afford the calories if I was careful with my other meals, but concluded it was better to have a bit of wiggle room in the diet and it just wasn't worth it. Put them down. Willpower, maybe I do have some after all.
I'm sure ironing does burn a lot of calories off - thankfully I have a tumble dryer, so don't generally have to do much ironing myself.

Re: Weight Watchers
Not seeing the Bf next weekend which should do wonders for my waistline haha
Trying a new thing out this week, have the new special k red berries to try out for breakfast this week
And have a load of noodles, diced chicken breast and veg to have for lunch at uni, since theres a microwave, figured its better for me than a sandwich and will keep me fuller for longer :)

Re: Weight Watchers
Definitely better than a sandwich. But if you can avoid noodles that'd be even better
(or as long as it's not every day...)
I probably put on weight this month, I don't know, I don't wanna know, I just feel like it happened. I'm trying to be careful again... it comes and it goes, as usual...If you have a magic advice let me know.

Re: Weight Watchers
That takes some doing running up the escalators - I did it recently and omg that's a work out. Well done on resisting the pains aux chocolat. Its a standing joke with me and the ironing I iron nearly everything in siteasamaic wrote:Didn't get to see Amour today despite getting there on time, which was a shame. I'm having Belvita biscuits and a Weight Watchers yoghurt for breakfast (300 calories)
Cottage cheese with 4 Ryvita, an apple and a weight watchers yoghurt (370 calories)
No idea re dinner as yet - possibly an omelette with ham and onions.
It will be the exercise DVD tonight - in hindsight I should have gone for a walk over the weekend as it gets the heart going much faster than the DVD and I don't fancy walking down a lonely road in the dark on my own after work.
