Hope you enjoy (enjoyed) the day in Birmingham, Diane. Son is headed up that way later on for the Arsenal game so it's the place to be today. Hope everything went according to plan and there were no last minute dashes trying to catch trains--sure you learned your lesson after being caught out in London!Diane65 wrote:Good luck everyone. Re: Weight Watchers
We did thanks on a extremely quiet open day (they advertised about it just 7 days ago hence virtually no one there but very well organised once we got there) and I hope that your son enjoyed the football. We did a gentle stroll to get the train this timeejwrank wrote:Hope you enjoy (enjoyed) the day in Birmingham, Diane. I haven't planned my meals yet but will definitely be doing my exercise DVD, ironing and lots of housework after the cinema.
Good luck everyone and be good

Re: Weight Watchers
Well, yesterday was a disaster. I had three films to go to, cancelled them all and stayed in because of the weather. And then ate a ridiculous amount of food. Given we didn't have anything particularly bad in, it could have been a lot worse, but I did eat my way through quite a lot of cracker crisps and cereal bars before I realised I was just bored and thirsty.
Am being good today - the damage limitation starts here - and next week I'm going to be mostly good as well. I just need to get to the end of today without being ridiculous again and I'll get my appetite levels back under control for the week ahead. Really hate getting back on the wagon, but I know it's a necessary evil.
Today lunch was minestrone soup with a lightly buttered bagel (310 cals), dinner will be home made veg burger and mini waffles (350 cals). Only 660 calories, so leaves me some wiggle room for treats.
Am seeing a play tomorrow, so it will be cappuccino (100 cals), veg soup and oatcakes (200 cals) and - I have no idea. I'm definitely out on Thursday and Friday as well, but that's with my OH, so I can plan around that better. Actually, going out is proving to be good for the diet. It's staying in and being bored that is making eating so appealing.
Well done to Biggins for the weight loss. :) Rise of the Guardians was okay (I made it to the London premiere the other week, lucky me) but it's not as if you missed out on, say, another Up or Toy Story. Spotted Amanda Holden and her daughter on the 'blue' carpet and felt a little bit old. None of us were kids or even had kids...

Re: Weight Watchers
Good morning everyone and I'm ashamed to say that the DVD didn't even come out of the box yesterday - I'm with you asamaic disaster is the word
I knew that I'd been out a lot ie apart from sleeping in my bed I've not been in th e house at all for nearly a week hence loads of ironing and housework so ran out of time (I did have a quick look around the Christmas markets in Manchester after the cinema and then a quick visit to my mothers). Had a roast chicken dinner complete with a Yorkshire pudding followed by apple crumble and custard - its OK having a treat day but when you haven't done hardly any exercise for a week its not good
Right girls lets get the show on the road as with all the festive events coming up we need to get what we can under control.
Menu of the day:
Bran flakes (300 calories)
Roast beef and onion sandwich follwed by a weight watchers fromage frais (400 calories)
Asda good for you chilli (350 calories) 2 clementines (40 calories)
I have to do my exercise DVD as I have a completely free evening so no excuse whatsoever apart from being lazy.
Have a happy and healthy day everyone
Hope that Preston, Clarebarr, havingascreen and Valda are all OK as not seen them around any threads for a while

Re: Weight Watchers
Sarting work this afternoon and then working full time the rest of the week -so lots of sandwiches for lunch again!!
Cereal and banana this morning to keep me going till lunch. Out for some shopping and then back for a bowl of soup before work. Chicken tonight I think with pasta.
Can I manage to lose a stone by Sunday before I meet the super slim Diane!!!!!
Preston where are you hiding - are you reading this but not posting now - have you given up the fight to lose weight. We miss your cheeky comments!!

"A bit" -- did I read that right, Diane?? You get around "a bit"-- honestly the woman never stops. If she isn't exercising, working, doing so much housework and decorating to make the rest of us feel like total layabouts, then she is making homemade Indian bread, jogging back and forth to the cinema (in a dress) -- there is no end to it.
Anyway -- enjoy your Scottish journey next week and say hello to the gang from all of us. Daughter visited Edinburgh a few weeks back and loved it.
