enjoy your reward treats and have a great Christmas Day today! You all deserve it for the efforts you all put into making yourselves healthier and fitter on this thread o/ o/

I have caught a really bad bug in the last couple of weeks which has really brought my resistance down :( But getting better and hopefully by new year, I am back in the fitness groove.

So sorry to hear that you've not been well. Take care, eat well and I hope that you are soon on the road to recovery :cross:

Take care and get well very soon. I believe that cake is very good for poorly people. I have been enjoying the Christmas indulgences but I must admit I did do my exercise DVD on Sunday - I couldn't help myself.

Best wishes to you Mr Glass and hope you are soon feeling lots better. We've been missing you on here. I confirm that cake is excellent when you are not feeling well and even better when you are recovered. In fact it is excellent at all times. Hope that 2013 proves a very happy and healthy year for you.

Oh, thanks ejwrank, as always, you are a most reassuring presence. Hehe, yes, cake in moderation (you know I have to add that bit) is most excellent on a festive time ;) especially if baked by a mother whose son/daughter is not so well, and so effectively bringing out the best cake making ability of the mother, producing the best yummy cake ever :) Hmmm, it was deliciously chocolaty and fruity...and fully devoured (note the past tense)!

Thanks for the best wishes ladies and sorry for my long absence, have also been studying, if I am permitted to make an excuse! Seems like I am fated to always be a schoolboy, hopefully I will be well enough next couple of days to go out and play conkers.

Everyone, when you all have you have a moment, after enjoying the festivities, plan your week ahead. Fit in those exercise routines in, during the week, get back to eating healthy and then have your reward once again on the New Year celebration :)

Thank you so much but you wouldn't be so kind if you had actually seen what I have shovelled in today  :shifty: Couldn't manage the Christmas pudding due to the fact that I had been stuffing my face with Maltesers when I should have been letting my stomach digest my Christmas dinner so its still there along with the brandy sauce

Hope that everyone else is having a fun time o/

And so the recovery begins, huh boys and girls? :)

I'm feeling well enough to go out but I dont want to because my damn nose is so scaly from all the tissue abuse, I'll give it one more day. I'll do some gentle stretch exercises today and some steps cardio, nothing too strenuous though. I have certainly put on a few pounds because of my lack of exercise. No doubt, many of you have too but dont fret, it will all come off as long as you be good for the next few days.

So what if you have lots of cake and biscuits leftover from Christmas Day? DONT TOUCH THEM! Save them for your next reward day (New Year's eve) :) If some wont last that long, then either give them away or THROW them away. Think of what is more important, tiny cost of left over cakes and biscuits, or your health and fitness goal?

Tomorrow I'll test myself to see if I can at least jog or walk to the cinema to see Safety Not Guaranteed.

Why oh why didn't I listen to you :noo: Had Yule log and ice cream followed by a large glass of Bailey's after my dinner last night  If I don't get a grip before New Year I will have serious regrets on the scales next week - I don't mind having a couple of weeks being really careful but I can see its going to be a month if I'm not careful :shifty:
I will fit in some exercise today as I'm watching Quartet this morning plus 2 episodes of Restless (one on I player) today 5 hours of just sitting 8O Plus I have no excuse re exercises as I feel perfectly well. Just had Belvita and a yoghurt for breakfast so calorie wise its OK.
