I aslo went to the Covent Garden screening yesterday. I was expecting the Q&A to be with some actors with minor roles and/or a producer, so I was really surprised when we were informed that Denzil Washington was going to be there.

Yeah, I was so surprised myself, when entering the screening to be told, there wouldn't be a break between the film ending and q&a because denzel washington would be coming to do the q&a... I half thought she was joking

I give this a 7/10. Not what i was expecting but good performances all round.

Robert Zemeckis is a pilot himself, according to his Wiki page: He is a pilot who has logged approximately 1,600 hours of flight time as of October 2012. Wish I'd asked him about that! It was a fun Q&A, and Denzel was particularly entertaining. I'd give the film 7/10, certainly kept my interest until the end. Not so thrilled to watch the plane crash sequence though...dovetail wrote:Loved Back to the Future, Who framed Roger Rabbit, so was thrilled to learn that Zemeckis would be at the Q and A. Got some nice insight into why he shot the crash sequence in a certain way.

was a bit disappointed with this, very entertaining in the first 30 mins or so then it slowed right down and became very uninteresting. also felt the title of the film was very misleading thought there would have been many more planes and flights, should have named it something else...

He was literally 'flying by the seat of his pants' so quite apt! I really enjoyed this and was pleasantly surprised after some of the previous reviews. If you like action movies the first part was in genre but there was a deeper undercurrent running through the film which was very engaging. Did not feel the film dragged at all.
