Do people not realise two thirds of our codes come from mags with that exact same phrase printed in it? Most of the time you're unaware where it came from & that it required a mag. I got a code from the Radio Times back in december and no-one even knew they need the mag.
We all been going to previews for years now and not been asked. The only time in recent years that they did ask is Les Mis and then since 90% didn't have a paper they let us all in anyway.

Saw this at a free screening in Manchester and no one asked for mag/paper and i was surprised the screening was full - was expecting it to be half empty as normal!
I enjoyed this film and would recommend. The flight crash scenes were really good and had me on the edge of my seat.

I like him more now, as in the interview with Graham, he said that he had arrived 3 hours earlier to bag good seats for Obama's last inauguration which started at 10am, and there was a photo of him sitting there, with a paper in the next seat bagging it for his wife, who was still in bed! haha, I had to laugh, just like us FMUKers trying to get the best seats! :giggle:

Denzel was great in the film, and Zemeckis was wonderful too. He's wasted on rubbish CG films, especially the attention to detail in the set design here. I loved the flat-screen TV on top of the old boxy 1960s black and white one!

I wish I could say i've seen this now, but the Leeds screening didn't happen. Apparently a hard drive fault.

Hope they compensated you in some way, e.g. with vouchers or offer to honour bookings if the preview was rearranged?

We were given vouchers for any other movie. No expiry date. Some didn't wait and just left before vouchers were handed out. We were told to contact the times and most left with that information but those of us who hung back longer were given a voucher each.

That sounds about as good as it could have been in the circumstances, then, apart from the wasted trip if you couldn't see something else that evening.

Considering all the Oscar buzz surround this, I was underwhelmed. It had a strong opening but then seemed rather aimless for the rest of the film. Not paced very well, overlong, poor attempts at comedy, unlikeable protagonist, excessive scenes of drug use and not very dramatic. Don Cheadle was terribly underused.

As someone who does not like flying, it was not pleasant to watch the crash sequence, but that is in fact the most enjoyable part of the film.
