I also wanted to see Robbie Williams at the O2, but I couldn't afford the price of his tickets, because I would of had to p*y-out for travel and a hotel too. I've been a big fan for years, so I was a bit gutted to miss out. It looked great from what I saw on TV. I did manage to get tickets to see him next summer at Hampden Park, which is a bit nearer and I'm really looking forward to it, but I know it won't be as intimate as an Arena.

I have tickets for Wilko Johnson's fairwell tour!
EXCITED! SOOOOO MUCH!

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Went to see Findlay with OH last night at the Soup Kitchen in M/c. Got the tickets off a couple whom I've never met before, they were really nice. The venue was small and intimate only holding about 100 people.
The first band on I think were called Temple Song although they didn't introduce themselves so I will have to check that out. The music they played sounded good, but the vocals had way too much reverb which did nothing for the songs. On to Findlay her first song was vocal only and she has such charisma on stage and such a strong voice she carried it off well. The band then joined in for the rest of the set and I don't think there was a song I didn't enjoy. She's definately one to look out for in the future, although she won't be everyones cup of tea.

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Anyone watch the bug reunion on itv2.
We loved 5ive and 911 when we were younger. Me and my mates followed them everywhere.
They released tickets for their one off concert at hammersmith Apollo after the show tonight
We r all meeting up big group of 8 can't wait. Will be like being back at school
And at Least tickets weren't expensive £22 each isn't bad considering its going to a really cheesy concert

I was thinking he might be trying to do a Robbie and we'll see the group having a talk to him in a later show trying to persuade him to change his mind but then realised they have already auditioned for a replacement.claire wrote:They r apparently looking for a replacement for him to which will be weird

They were a complex lot weren't they? I always thought it was Press talk but it was far worse than any of the news stories about them!

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Went to the NME gig in M/c last night. Missed most of the first band, Peace, and from what I heard that was no bad thing. Next up was Palma Violets, didn't know much about these but really liked them. Had a bit of a Clash sound going on which is never a bad thing. Next Miles Kane the reason I wanted to go to this gig. He's a great entertainer and didn't disappoint. Lastly was Django Django, again only heard bits on the radio so had no preconceived opinions about them. After the first two songs I was comparing them to the Lotus eaters (a band from the eighties for you young uns) sound ok but will never be in your top 100. Then the 3rd song came on and I thought the Charletans or Roses and I got them. So all in all a great night, just wish OH had been there to enjoy it with me. I would also like to thank her for getting me the ticket.

I really like Palma Violets and Miles Kane is amazing he is like the new Paul Weller! I'm not a massive fan of Django Djangosteve wrote:Went to the NME gig in M/c last night. Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Had a great night at the O2 last night.
We went to see the script. For my sister birthday.
Great night so much fun. And they are really good live.
And always laugh when they take someone from the audience phone and sing a song based on drunk dialing down phone to their ex. Lol
