Three Colours Trilogy by Kieslowski. So good it hurts.

I agree it is amazing, with a masterful soundtrack on top of great storyline. But should come with a warning, that it's best not to watch when you're feeling blue.

Agreed. With the same logic in mind, I wish someone had warned me before I sat down to Dancer in the Dark a few days ago (from which recovery has been slow). This is the downfall in not reading too many reviews beforehand!

I've had this for nearly 2 years and have not watched it. I will defo give it a go now that it's been recommended.

Remember to watch them in order! I'll have to interrogate you about them at FMUKCON!

For a quirky fix, I'd recommend Scott Pilgrim vs the World. It makes for a very enjoyable 100+ minutes, and the music is bound to put you in a good mood.

Another one of my quirky faves is Napoleon Dynamite. Makes me laugh every time.

Love Scott Pilgrim, definitely second that! And slightly related to that: Kick-Ass, which is totally eh... kick ass.

Never could get into Napoleon Dynamite though *hides*

Watched "Oslo, August 31st" and it made it pretty easily in my all_time_top 10!
A very understated and quiet drama; flawless performance AND direction.

(It's available on Netlix US atm)
