I actually enjoyed this film I took it as a tongue in cheek action film and after a day at work its sometimes good not to have to think. I'm not highly critical and just accept it for what it is. 7/10

I agree the bagging wasn't actually bad and we only queued for a few mins to pick up our phones, sooo that wasn't too bad.asamaic wrote:Speaking of phones, the gadget bagging wasn't too bad - they had laid out the bags in order, so once you got to the front of the queue, it was super quick. Much better organised than Taken 2.
Only realised today when I went to print my ticket that it did actually warn in the email that phones would be collected. Must read Sky emails more carefully...
It did? I have to admit I didn't read the email that closely. I think I will also have to read more carefully in the future.

I agree. It was a good action-packed film. Not the best Die Hard film by far, but wasn't bad. Impressive camera work and effects.Diane65 wrote:I actually enjoyed this film I took it as a tongue in cheek action film and after a day at work its sometimes good not to have to think. Slight negative was the excessively loud volume. My ears are still ringing lol...
Overall would give it a 6.5/10

I recommend ear plugs. I always put some in as it also helps drone out annoying people around you.Livi92 wrote:Diane65 wrote: Slight negative was the excessively loud volume. My ears are still ringing lol...

Re: A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)
Saw this tonight at O2 Cineworld. Wanted to enjoy a pop corn evening of mindless action and some humour. Left disappointed but thought it was just better than the Last Stand.

I was annoyed about handing over my mobile phone but on closer inspection of the ticket it it did mention it in the small print. I almost and some righteous indignation until I checked my ticket.
A generous 6.5/10

Sure, it wasn't the best Die Hard film but I was entertained for the 98 minutes . . and sometimes that's all I want/need is to be entertained.

I'd love to know how many cars were damaged, particularly in the first 30 mins.
Also, how many bullets were fired . . . 'cause it could be a record number in one film!

Would not have been sad if I'd pa*d!

Re: A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)
Lovely to see Beate, ejwrank, David, zoebanfield, and rawsalsa tonight. But so ridiculous, when I arrived at 6pm, the balcony was already full, and I could not see Beate in the usual back row!
You really need to take this with a pinch of salt, otherwise it is quite disappointing. Lots of vest splitting, helicopter exploding, gunfire, falling through buildings, more explosions, and more explosions, very predictable, crash-bang-wallop Die Hard, with a very weak story, and a too loud sound track. 6/10
