Saw 'Siro A' this afternoon with my Sister. And like everyone else, I thought it was a really good show! You couldn't fault their timing. The pre-show entertainment was funny, where they interacted with the audience. The theatre was probably half-full. We weren't allowed to collect our tickets until 2pm. We were seated in the fourth row with plenty of leg room! This is definitely a show for everyone. Due to it being half term, there were plenty of kids in the audience and they were laughing throughout. (Before the show, we had a Burger King meal, using a voucher - only £2 for a big burger and fries. Another voucher got us each a free coffee!!)

Have looked on the Theatre Discount thread and searched on google but wondering if anyone was aware of any discounts on Viva Forever?

Afraid not, Rainey, and half-term is probably the least likely time, but maybe someone else knows otherwise? I find Bargaintheatreland quite reliable and their only deals for this seem to be for meal + show, or sometimes not having to p*y the booking fee, which isn't much help. But there's also a site for comparing theatre ticket prices (Compare Theatre) which might be worth trying?

Thanks Ms Thrifty, it's not for now but beginning of May, a friends birthday, there will be quite a few of us. The best we have found is the meal/ticket deal, but the actual option of what you can have for the meal is quite limited.

I just wondered as I read that ticket sales so far had not been brilliant.

Viva Forever is listed at TKTS (still expensive though):

http://www.tkts.co.uk/whats-on-sale/

Also, people have reported that it's not sold out at all (despite what those working for the show say) and oftentimes audience members get upgraded to better seats when they b*y cheaper tickets. This is never a guarantee though.

How many people will you be booking for? The site also lists:

Groups & Schools Bookings
Great group rates for parties of 10+ and 40+ available for certain performances.

I always find that Theatre Monkey is a good starting point for this. They bring together the various offers around in one place (as well as their excellent seating plans knowledge). See: http://www.theatremonkey.com/CURRENTSPECIALOFFERS.htm

I heard something a while ago about what's called "house tickets", basically good seats that theatres hold back for friends of cast and crew or anyone else special and they often don't get used so you could try to ask for house tickets on the day at the box office - no guarantee though or idea what they cost.

House seats generally are £25 but when I've used they in the past they're truly only available through cast/crew. You get top price tickets that are not yet allocated, there is no allocated section specifically held back for house seats as then they'll risk not being sold.
