I especially liked the end credits as well where they seem to suggest the future process of creating a domestic robot. or were they pictures of robot beta models currently in use?
I think they were all real clips and not necessarily recent. Remember when they had the robot on QI? they can run!

I thoroughly enjoyed this and was eactly what I was expecting. I did struggle a little with Zzzzzz though - purely due to having been up since 4.30 this morning, and I did think the end came rather abruptly. I felt there was still another scene to come - perhaps a reunion? It certainly could have been longer in my opinion. I think maybe I was slighlty disappointed and agree that there was somthing missing.

I'd like to give this a 10/10 but can only really stretch to a 7/10.

Lovely acting, great story, definitely an original concept though.

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

Had some rubbish news just at 5.45 so was not really in a state of mind to watch this. It didn't relax me and my mind kept wandering. Shame as I think in other circumstances I'd have quite enjoyed this.

OH and I enjoyed this; shame the auditorium at Crawley (and not even a large one) was only about 50% full; a much less popular preview than Broken City the week before, though this was probably the better and more original film. We laughed out loud a lot, especially early on, when Frank is being introduced to the robot. Some of Frank's responses were so cynical and scathing that it could have been OH talking, which added to my amusement.

dull, dull, dull

such a missed opportunity given the acting talent on show

this should have been charming, touching & profound, but no, just dull.

avoid, 3/10

Shaftesbury Ave Cineword kept us waiting until 6.25pm before letting people in, and it was a mad dash for everyone to get a good seat, and go to the toilets, before the film started prompt at 6.30pm! And only two late comers, and a few returning late from the loos, otherwise the audience was very well behaved.

Loved the film, sweet, clever and amusing. Lots of aaah factors and funny scenes with the Robot, love his wit. Good cast. Very entertaining. I want one of these Robots! 8/10

Me too, pxc! I'd love a robot like that! o/
I saw film in a busy Glasgow Cineworld with a back row group of FMUKers and friends.
I was really looking forward to this film but it did not live up to my hopes. The story idea was good and there was some entertainment as Frank learned how to use the robot but I do think something was missing . . . Film was fairly gentle though there were some issues about what would appear to be an early onset dementia and the needs of sufferers & their families, particularly if they live at a distance. Robot seemed to reconnect Frank to life.
Marks 6.5/10

@The Sparrow,

it is obvious that our opinions on most films differ. this does not make you right & me wrong or visa versa.

we have differing subjective opinions.

there have been lots of films that i have liked this year, so please stop jumping on me when i voice an opinion regarding a film I personally did not enjoy.

it has become tiresome. please stop.
