Was really expecting a bit of a damp squid with this one but was pleasantly surprised. It all seemed to gel quite nicely and I did leave the cinema thinking that was quite good.

A 7.5/10 from me.

Saw this last night and I loved the little boy, SJ, and all his antics. Felt that it was a bit too American "Mom" who is always so goody, goody and never loses her temper and when you see what the real family looked like at the end of the film Sandra Bullock was nothing at all like the real mother.

However it was an enjoyable film. 8 out 10.

Could it be that this film is going to rival Slumdog Millionaire for the highest number of preview screenings? I think that every town and city in Britain with a cinema has been offered at least one preview! :D
Is it a strategy to gain favour in the Oscars?

I don't know - our previews don't create box office cash and we don't vote for the Oscars either.

Saw this film tonight, really enjoyed it. Was a moving film with a great cast, especially Michael and SJ. Great acting from Sandra Bullock. Definitely one to watch for those who do and do not have American football knowledge. 8/10.
