Tonight was my second viewing of the film, loved it the first time and enjoyed it just as much tonight. Brought back a few memories of playing in a struggling punk band, travelling around in a shitty van to play gigs for five people in the middle of nowhere, and waiting for John Peel to play your demo... Those were the days! Definitely a few lump in the throat moments and goes without saying... a great soundtrack! Love the scene when the kid comes in the shop and says "Have you got Orgasm Addict?" What? "f**k Off?" What? :giggle: I didn't know much about Terri Hooley's life before the film, but what a guy and what a story. It's just a shame he didn't make a few more bob out of that Undertones deal, silly man. If you missed the preview, highly recommend going to see it when it comes out. 9/10

A wonderful film. I wasn't familiar with all the music, but it still captured brilliantly being young and that overwhelming passion for music.

At each turn my old head was screaming at Terri to do something different (not literally of course) whilst the teenager in me was cheering him on his next spontaneous scheme.

Good as well to see how his story fitted into Belfast's history.

Really glad to have seen it, in my opinion the perfect type of preview film - something I knew nothing about and may have caught on TV in a few years, but now will spread the word how good it is. o/

It is definitely worth p*ying to see for those of us "of a certain age". It made me want to don my old bondage trousers and start pogoing in the aisles.

I felt truly sickened at the scene when Terri was talking about the people in the photos and what had happened to them. Those that saw the preview will know the scene I am talking about and why it was disturbing.

Seeing the news footage of the scenes from The Troubles brought it all back for me, just how bad life was then. Such a shame some of the acts of terrorism are starting up again in recent times.

I loved seeing what happened to Terri in the info at the end of the film and suddenly remembered that when I went to see a film about Independent Record Stores that in the talk afterwards, his shop had been mentioned.

Another wonderful little film that I bet doesn't get great distribution or do big box office.

BTW Steve9872 I love trailers before a film, a shame we don't get more of them imo

Saw this tonight at Courthouse Soho. Lovely to see PXC, Ejwrank, Livi92 and Greece.

What a charming little film. The music was great and the look of the film brought me back to the 70s.

It's a great docudrama and is a very different film to Vinyl. Which is also about punk music.

Saw this last night in Wimbledon. Not being a great punk music fan, I very nearly cancelled the tickets - until OH persuaded me otherwise. I am so glad he did, because it was very uplifting, feel-good movie. Despite what the world threw at him, Terri Hooley remained optimistic and upbeat. We yearned for him to be successful, but in the end it was neither success nor money he was craving – he simply wanted to enjoy life and to get everyone else to enjoy it with him.

The production was very clever in that it interspersed real 70's newsreel with the film. I would solidly recommend it to everyone. Great movie, great acting – the only negative point – the very dodgy wigs! 9/10 (one point deducted because of the wigs!)

Went to Leeds/Bradford last night - was about half full - really enjoyed the film as not something I would generally pick. I'm not sure what the directors were trying to achieve but it was entertaining and educating together.
