The Director's Cut of Watchmen (which is being released in America but not here

) has leaked online
No prizes for guessing what I'm watching tonight!

Thanks
Those that have watched it already are saying its a big improvement on the theatrical cut, which I think they loved as much as I did haha!

Yeah, fill us in tomm, i've read that Zack snyder had to severly cut it down by an hour from original cut as was too long !
I'm gonna watch The Escapist on DVD tonight. Read good reviews and Brian Cox rules....

Distributors prefer films to be short because it means cinemas can fit more screenings in a day (= more money)
So about 25 minutes was cut off for the theatrical cut, then a few more vital minutes (one character's death was completely cut!) because imax reels only go up to however long the theatrical cut was.
Anyway, if you thought that was long, the DC might actually seem shorter as it should be easier to follow etc...

Maybe I should watch it... As the theatrical cut I saw was slightly confusing, even if I did enjoy it!!
25 mins difference!

That's a lot of movie time and especially if it contained a characters death (that I didn't know about

).
Glad you enjoyed it!
