Why can Google not be responsible for this? I'm sure they work with a Maps plugin :)

My reason for thinking it wasn't Google was that when I actually looked for a specific location on Google Earth (my own road, in fact), it wasn't shown as the data was too old. This despite the fact that we have lived here nearly 8 years now!

I too was shocked as to how accurate it is, even Liquorice my cat is on it along with the window cleaner and 2 of my neighbours.

A mark of how poor the weather has been is that this year, for the first time ever, I barely care that the mornings are going to become darker again for a few weeks. Normally I'd resent having to set off for long walks in darkness again, but I haven't even done a full day yet. Just hope we go eventually get a spring of sorts, as a couple of years ago when the same thing happened, we seemed to jump straight to summer.

Having given up chocolate for Lent, I have gorged myself today - two chocolate cupcakes with Cadburys mini eggs on top, half a bag of chocolate mini eggs, 2 chocolate biscuits. I'm feeling a bit sickly now - serves me right I suppose. But I've prepared a rather large chocolate bread and butter pudding for tonight, and I don't know if I'll be able to face it. Always tomorrow, I suppose. :D

Me too. I had half a buttons Easter egg plus half a family bag of Maltesers (not in one sitting I kept on coming back for another handful so basically ate all day) plus I had also given up coke so had a can of vanilla coke so basically a wonderful feast. My stomach is very robust so I didn't feel remotely sick. I also think that after that length of time I wouldn't be bothered about it but I'm afraid it was pure heaven  :D

I reckon the BBC's weather forecast was their April Fool for this year. I walked for literally 5 whole hours to the minute before the sun deigned to come out - "at last!" I thought. But no, it promptly disappeared again and it was so cold and windy that after several hours I gave up and put my hat on. Now, of course, it is brightening up, but too late - I gave it enough opportunity!

It's an ill wind, though: I was out for long enough to miss the mess when OH made pastry for a quiche and I bagged 2 interesting pieces of cake, so now saving money by having tea at home.
