Things only tend to go live on sky during business hours, so unlikely to happen over the Easter weekend.

I was impressed by this movie, my first screening too.
Entertained throughout, and where most films would drag with some sub-plot, this got the job done and then jumped straight into more action.

9/10

Having now seen this twice, I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Felt like I had to see it again with someone who didn't hate it (like my friend did at Metro screening) to make a proper decision. I didn't like that they named a country as the villain, regardless of the fact that it was a paramilitary force and not the government. I know that's a big thing nowadays (see: Red Dawn) but I just worry what effect things like that are having on the real world, it can't be helping. Otherwise I appreciated the lack of subplots, as Lambino81 said, and the cast was great. Can't go wrong with half the cast of the Dark Knight on your team. :P Definitely liked it better the second time around, good for fans of Die Hard, definitely, though I think the body count was more than all five Die Hard films combined. :P

Thanks to drizzy5oh, I got to go to the premiere tonight with the lovely company of caitlinmorton. Ooh, it was so freezing out while we waited for the red carpet action. Finally, we got to walk the red carpet with Aaron Eckhart! The BFI IMAX screen was more huge than usual as we were in the front row, but it was not too bad once I got used to being, ooh, so close! We had popchips and water on the seats. At 7.30pm, finally, we had a brief intro from Aaron Eckhart and Gerald Butler before the film started.

Fast paced, action packed, utterly absurd and preposterous, but very enjoyable. Fab Gerald Butler, new Die Hard. Nothing complicated with story, good guys versus bad guys, extremely entertaining but a bit too much of an American propaganda, very one sided. And wow, loads of American bodies everywhere. 7/10

Olympus - code name for White House - has fallen, sounds very much like White House Down. Hmm, what's going on?? Why so many films about taking the US government down? GI Joe, Iron Man 3 being the other two. ;)
