Hi I'm Daniel from London. I'm a movie addict and having been made redundant a couple of months ago am loving this site.

Hi there, somehow stumbled across this site and wish I'd done so earlier as it looks great! I'm a twenty-something year old based in London and I love films no matter what the genre.

Learned a long time ago that some of the best films you ever see are the "unexpected" ones. You know, the ones that you initially think are not going to be your cup of tea :) Nearly made that cardinal error with Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino last year (wasn't a big fan of Million Dollar Baby) - turned out to be one of the best films I'd seen all year. Did anyone else give it the thumbs up?

Haven't seen a free film yet and I'm looking forward to the first one (fingers crossed!). Also looking forward to joining in with the chat and exchanging notes with other film fans :)

Thanks Beate - yeah, one of the posts on 1 March '09 summed up Gran Torino pretty nicely.

Btw, is it too late to change my on-screen name from "nm987" to er, "Willo-The-Wisp" ? :cross:

Was hunting around for tickets to The Blind Side, and one of the members kindly emailed over a link but as this only gave us about 20 minutes to get there, we stopped the mad dash getting there after seeing the strictly no admittance policy for latecomers on the tickets.

Dammit, so nearly within our reach - it was the cinema closest too - Shaftesbury Avenue, London

Still on the look out for tickets to The Blind Side, ideally in central-ish London (like gold dust, I imagine!) - if you see anything, please do give us a shout! Cheers :P

Hey, I believe the thing to do is to PM AYBG and ask nicely!

Yep, PM-ed AYBG for the name change with a pretty please (plus a cherry on the top) :p

As long as I can change to Willo etc, then I'm a happy bunny, with spaces or without ;)

Hi everyone....totally new to the free cinema ticket thing....didn't even know you could do it until someone told me!!

Have only been to one free screening so far....The Blind Side @ Odeon Thurrock.....and it was an excellent film! and it was nice to go out with the wife for a change without the kids!!!! :P

I live in Romford so have quite a few cinemas in the close vicinity.

Hoping to go to a few more.....and will also keep my eyes and ears open for any codes so I can return the favour to the rest of you. ;)

Hi,
Im lou and I come from lanarkshire in scotland around ten miles from glasgow. Im new to freefilms and like a few people have only seen one in cineworld glasgow and that was the blind side. Unfortunately it wasnt my kind of film but it hasnt put me off, if anything it has encouraged me to try to see more and write my review on here about them to see how it compares to other peoples. Look forward to being on site frequently.
lou. xx
