Very doable and we're all here to support you. I did 36lbs in 22 weeks and that was including a couple of holidays plus a substantial treat every week.

I'm almost too embarrassed to come on this thread as my diet and exercise has been diabolical this week :nono:  Apart from my milkshakes for breakfast I have been living on black coffee and eating rubbish due to working way too many hours and not allowing time to eat hence have now got big dark shadows under my eyes and rubbish skin plus feel very tired. It is my own fault as it was my choice to work the extra hours

How is everyone else getting on? I intend to have a healthy weekend and to drink lots of water.

Not so healthy last night, went to pizza hut but had lots of salad and only 3 small slices of an edge pizza which is a thin base, probably equals about 11/2 slices of a normal pizza. I did go to the gym and had a wee shot of the vibro plate after my workout so with my workout I was still within my net calories for the day yay! Not going to jinx my weight loss this week so will update over the weekend but did get rid of that pesky 2lb gain finally hurrah!
Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend Diane! I'm swimming tomorrow and then we have the race for life next sunday!!

Well done on getting rid of that 2lbs that is brilliant o/ I'm revived and ready and raring to go again but as for losing 4lbs before I go to Florence (the one where I said a 1lb a week is very doable) it won't be happening as I go on Tuesday :wall: I still resemble a pregnant pig, my friend suggested that I may have IBS but I know that it is due to the lack of exercise, too much coffee and diet coke plus eating rubbish so certainly not a medical problem  So need to get in gear and even though I've only got 2 days I can still do something.

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with almond milk, banana and raspberries (200 calories)
Omelette with mushrooms and a side salad (300 calories) An apple (50 calories)
Beef burger (Aberdeen angus) with onions cooked with water in the microwave and another large salad with John Milton's salsa to spice it up (500 calories) Weight watchers yoghurt (50 calories)
Cadbury's chocolate options (50 calories)

I will do either a walk or my DVD today plus drink at least 2 litres of water.

Lets gets on track together and keep posting. o/

Celtiagirl, no I couldn't afford allizone lol

Diane, just breathe my lovely. You can get back on the wagon after your trip and until then drink plenty of water to flush the caffeine out :)

Ahh thank you so much o/ . I'm annoyed with myself as its all my own doing :wall: I get carried away with what I think that I can do in one day then I have no time to eat, exercise or breathe  which in turn makes me feel unhealthy. I don't have a switch off button  I have drank lots of water, ate well and not done a lot this weekend (apart from housework, a walk and just planning for my trip) so feel much better and energised.

I have never heard of allizone before. Have you tried it Celtiagrl?

Housework counts, as does your walk! Good stuff on the water, I haven't drank enough today but was in the pool for 2 hours so surely some seeped in by osmosis? I also was in the steam room for 10 mins so all the impurities must be gone, unfortunately this was before going to my parents for dinner. Bless them and their yummy food but they are feeders lol

Reading all your success stories - well done everyone. I'm still yo-yo - ing here. Up a pound, down a pound. Been in the situation for weeks. It's so frustrating. I'm exercising more now than ever before and have taken up swimming (just once a week). Must be doing something very wrong.

However, I've found this article for you to read - what are your thoughts on this?

How to use cinnamon for weight loss

Ceylon cinnamon is a spice made from the ground inner bark of a tree native to Sri Lanka, which once was known as Ceylon. It has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and modern research confirms its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. The spice has also gained a reputation as a weight loss aide, although more evidence is needed to confirm this claim. Consult your health-care practitioner before using Ceylon cinnamon therapeutically because of potential side effects and drug interactions.

Cinnamon is a spice that can be a powerful antioxidant while providing such things as calcium, iron, fiber, and other healthful nutrients and minerals. In fact, cinnamon has been used over the years as a treatment for such ailments as:

Arthritis
High cholesterol
High levels of blood sugar
Migrain headaches
Digestive issues

As an antioxidant, cinnamon does help to fight inflammation and stress from oxidation. This is beneficial to weight loss because stress increases Cortisol, which in turn affects blood sugar levels, energy levels, inflammation and immune system functioning. Too much Cortisol is reflected in weight gain, particularly around the belly area. If cinnamon reduces stress, less Cortisol would be produced, and using a cinnamon diet to lose weight could be effective.
Be careful to b*y only cinnamon, and not cinnamon mixed with sugar or something like that. Try to b*y natural cinnamon instead of those powders people sell. You can even try tea with cinnamon in it: it has a good taste and combines the effect of tea and this spice. The important thing here is for you not to take any other bad substance like sugar. Then, what you are doing will lose all of its importance.

Andrews, don't give up!! I got stuck losing and gaining the same 2-3lbs at the start of April and it was about 4 weeks before I settled and started losing again. Have you taken measurements? If not do try and get some now, you might not be losing weight (muscle gain from exercising and your body holds on to water differently when you exercise) but losing centimeteres/inches off your torso and arms wvithout you realising.

The cinnamon thing is good, unfortunately I usually have it in scones and with sugar lol
