I finally managed a spin class on Tuesday night, I loved it, I think it must be one of the best ways to lose weight I'm going to go every week now, but the seat was a bit uncomfortable :( I've lost 2 stone now, but still a way to go!!

Valda - whats Body Combat like? They have it at my gym but I was too scared to go after my experience at BodyPump!!

I was wondering the same thing Diane...maybe someone should send him a quick email? Or do you think that might be a bit intrusive?

anne I love Body Combat and I'm in my 50's. The best way to describe it is an aerobic workout but not girly. YOu kick and punch but there's no contact. It takes a few classes to get settled in, and get used to following routines, but if you've done any other sort of class, you'll find it easy.
congrats on the 2 stone by the way

Well done AnneJ thats fabulous and the body pump sounds fun. Get some proper cycling shorts it makes spinning so much more comfortable.

Hows everyone getting on?
Did anyone hear from Mr Glass?

I tried Body Combat last night, it was good but I didn't realise how bad my co-ordination was, I completely lost grip of which was my left and right!!! It was fun though, I think after a few classes it will be better, I was paranoid that it was just me that didn't have a clue until we changed direction and some others were having the same problem :P

well done Anne, glad you enjoyed it. don't worry lots of people get confused. sometimes the teacher is wrong sometimes you follow the teacher, not realising that they are doing the opposite to the class . A good teacher will face you and the moves she or he does on the left we will be doing on the right.

On SAturday we had a relief teacher who did the capoera all wrong, instead of turning to the right, she went left. I ended up just standing there, whilst the rest of the class followed her  There is a new release about to start so everyone will be in the same boat. The main thing is to enjoy it.
