You will love them as they are a great live act. I saw Muse last Sat at Emirates and they blew me away. Should be nice weather too!

Gates open at 19.00 for a 21.00 start, so I expect there will be the really big fans there before 19.00, however you can always find a gap in the crowd to sneak through, my friends daughter and her friend always seem to manage to get to the front no matter where they start from!

I went to see westend men again tonight with some work peeps.
Show has improved alot since Wednesday the batter is getting better between the cast and they seem much more relaxed and talking alot more freely.
One thing I noticed tonight tho. Lee mead was taking a back seat alot today notable more in second half.
He didnt sing the cold play song (someone else did and they were fab) he didn't sing with Kerry Ellis.
And for the finale he sat down through most of it and only seemed to sing when they all were
harmonising. I know they sometimes need a rest but not a good sign when only going a week so far.

went last night.

lots of housewives, very few men in the crowd (I think).

Good opening but very slow in the middle. the pop songs (busted, wtf?) were used to break up the West End hits so it was understandable that they were generally not well worked out, though the voices were good all the way through - just probably not rehearsed properly. Good finale, but then it was Les Miz and Queen so it was never going to be a bad ending. God knows why people were giving it a standing ovation, I guess that's alcohol for you. I think the song list needs improving if you are going make this a premium show. Perhaps it was the choice of pop songs - Coldplay sung in falsetto is always going to sound like a cringeworthy imitation of Martin, whose voice isn't even very good anyway, so why bother imitating his falsetto style? Fix You would have sounded better interpreted freshly tbh. Likewise none of them could get close to the quality of Seal's vocals on Kiss From a Rose. Oh, one of the singers looked like one of Bros. mm ok Bros are twins, so he looked like them both lol, but I mean he looked like Bros look now (ie the version that turns up in crap movies like Death Race 3).

Damn good way of making money though, nicking all the west ends songs for a minimalist budget stage.

My favourite performer? The bespectacled spanner* of a pianoman, who was in a geekily grinning groove.

* Spanner = Northern slang for someone skinny at school who wears big thick specs, is crap at all sports but has a geeky secret interest in something weird like collecting stick insects or playing the piano.

I might be a bit harsh, though I am never saying it was bad, just not uniformly good.

I confess I am not the target audience (a West End reg or bored housewife).

I have just got home from the West End Men show . Me and My Mum in law really enjoyed the show. Especially the 2nd half. Glenn ( from Jersey Boys ) has an excellent powerful voice. We had good seats stalls row M. My Mum in law said She wouldn't mind seeing the show again.
Many Thanks too June for tickets.
