This movie although fairly good in some places was very dissapointing for me . I think zack snyder was the wrong person to take the helm of a superman reboot, its just was not made right, it didnt have a classic feeling to it , i just think as a juiced up action movie it was good and people may be won over by this , but as a superman movie it was VERY disappointing, was not put together properly, action was a bit over the top and to be honest the action wasnt even very clear too because of the camerawork , im still trying to draw a full on conclusion about this movie and the only thing that comes to mind right now is that it had potential but they didnt reach it by a mile , and it was given to the wrong director

I'm glad i read the reviews on here because i thought i was going to be alone in my opinions of this movie

Also we were sat on these so called D-Box seats in the middle of the auditorium (we got there after 6pm so was very surprised that there were still these seats available) I didnt have a clue what d-box was meant to be so i asked the guy serving me nachos when i popped out what it was and he told me that these seats actually move around as the movie is playing , apparantly it was very successful with the fast and furious movies during the car chases having the seats moving in sync with the cars , however it appears that they didnt switch this feature on during the screening today which is a another let down (the first let down being that it didnt play in the superscreen)

The best thing about this film was.....Henry Cavill is kinda hot! 8/10 but i really wanted to be giving it 10/10, What a mess they were making in the fight scenes! Hard to keep up at times. The 3D did nothing for this movie, and the theme tune was definatly missed. I did enjoy it for the most part though and my kids said its the 'BEST' movie they've ever seen! Really??

I would've liked to have got there earlier for a decent seat but was running late and got there at 6.15, the queue was quite long but moved pretty fast The G4s guy was coming down the line telling us to get our ID ready and that if we didnt have any then we were to speak nicely to the sky guys lol didnt see anyone having problems though! The film started about 7.30.

I'm 50/50, I appreciated the slightly different take ie emotional Superman but I'm disappointed that it wasn't better (I have to compare it with Star Trek after all). It didn't have the usual Superman pizzazz which is what I was expecting but I thought it was refreshing that they didn't do another Superman by numbers. Not a bad film, just wasn't a great film.


P.S. I was VERY HAPPY to admire Henry Cavill for the entire duration of this film

So basically the moral of the story is to have your name on a SKY ticket if you are watching a preview in Edinburgh? How silly is that

I thought I saw you tonight, but having only met you the once and it being so dark, I wasn't brave enough to shout your name on the offchance... Were you wearing a shirt that said Foundry on it?

My ticket was in OH name and he was in Aberdeen! Thankfully I have 1 bank card in my married name so it was fine. I got the Irish bloke rather than the blonde one.

Yes i was. And lol, you should've taken the risk. Even if it was the wrong person i would've heard you from across the cinema anyway. But honestly i had the exact same thing happen with you. I saw you and i was like: "Is that...i remember vaguely...nah, what are the chances?"

My OH and I discussed this afterwards and he said the more we talked about MoS, the less he liked it. Personally, I think it was a good film - but not a good Superman film. It depends how you approach it.

Incidentally, we went to a Byron on the way home, and the waiter recognised us from a completely different Byron (he had transferred branch recently). So... Apparently stuartboy watches a lot of films, I eat a lot of burgers.
