I don't doubt it but I'm sure I saw comments in this thread by some who said it started on time.

The start time seems to have been a movable feast last night.

The pacing was all over the place and it was long (and felt long), plus some of the action sequences did go on for a while. Some of the aerial shots were impressive and looked realistic but had the effect of making me feel queasy. I was expecting spectacular use of 3D but sadly it was underused. At times the special effects looked very much like a video game. The main problem is the balance between the human story and action scenes was disproportionate. This is better than Superman Returns, and I liked the fact that it was not the traditional superman story, but I am not particularly excited by this reboot of the franchise. 6/10.
What a disappointment. They should have called this Man of Wood based on Henry Cavills acting. Everything seemed to drag on for way too long. I thought after they'd done the Krypton exploding bit things would pick up but it didn't. Most ridiculous bits were how Kevin Costner died trying to save his dog from the tornado and how the skyscraper fell on the daily planet Intern and she was walking around 10 mins later. Pretty sure that same skyscraper collapsed again but shown from a different angle. Also the Superman - Zod fight scene reminded me of Peter Griffin vs the Chicken saga.
As for the o2 at Greenwich, disappointed it wasn't in the Superscreen and what was the point of getting ID? The 2 guys in front of me in the queue didn't have ID matching the ticket and were told they needed confirmation from the ticketholder that it had been passed on to them.

After waiting ages for David's friend to turn up we finally gave up and told him there would be no way he could get in with ID checks, no seats and the film about to start but found out at the end that he did get in without an ID check and there was a seat in the front even though the film had already started. You figure! I was unimpressed with the film. It went on forever and I was bored by a lot of it.

You will believe a man can snore!!

As someone who adores the original Richard Donner duology to absolute death, this version left a horribly bitter taste in my mouth. I'm not even going to bother listing why I wish they hadn't made this Promotheus-inspired load of shit.

It bothered me that
we had the heartwrenching scene with Kevin Costner dying and then, a few scenes later, he was back in another flashback. Kinda ruined the effect, no?
Hope that you don't mind me using your "You will believe a man can snore " line in my review as I couldn't have put it better myself.
