The film was light-hearted and amusing. All in all, reasonable enough and easy to watch romcom fayre.

I found it interesting to be able to compare Natalie Portman's contribution in this, to her rather more breathtakingly accomplished performance in The Black Swan. Portman and Kutcher without doubt carried the film, as others have pointed out, and had sufficient chemistry going on between them to make a very believable couple.

Kutcher does, however, come across to me as a bit of a typecast one trick pony, but with Portman there is the feeling that she has the ability to portray a much greater range of characters. She is, I think, definitely a talent to watch out for in the future. o/

6 out of 10 from me for this. :D
Saw this at Edinburgh Odeon and was able to get immersed in the film without too much outside interference.

Pretty much agree with Preston's review and rating. I think Portman might get typecast playing sexual roles. The script was shockingly sexual at points, not one for the prudish!!
Kutcher made for some yummy eye candy 8O

I really don't think Natalie Portman has anything to worry about when it comes to typecasting.

I thought this movie was a lot better then i expected from watching the trailer .... Me and my friends all enjoyed it and thought it was quite funny in places and why does Ashton Kutcher never seem to age?!!! 7.5/10

We were both at the same screening. I was sitting in one of the premium seats.
haha did you arrive rather early? As a rule of thumb i aim to arrive half an hour early (to get a decent seat). But i arrived maybe 40minutes early as it wasnt as long to get to as planned. The cinema was shut. So i just sat in the car, as you do. There was tons of people eagle eyeing the doors to get in from their cars. The doors opened. Then people immediatley jumped out their cars. No dignified casual walk up. I found it rather amusing.

I just read Empire's review of the film (first time reading the mag). They gave it 2/5 stars. I felt it was a bit harsh and the reviewer had it in for them with the crude jokes from the get go by the looks of it.

I would have gave it 3/5. For me it was a bit better than most Rom-coms on average. However, it was ground-breakingly new/unique either.
