WHIP IT, the directorial debut of Drew Barrymore, stars Ellen Page (Juno) as Bliss, a rebellious Texas teen who throws in her small town beauty pageant crown for the rowdy world of roller derby. Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Pollock) plays Bliss' disapproving mother, while Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live) and Juliette Lewis (Old School) play roller-derby stars. Also starring Eve, Jimmy Fallon, and Daniel Stern.

Not that I want to see the preview, I have something else on and Finchley Road is too far on a Sunday morning, but how can SFF discriminate against anyone older than 16? I am neither an Mum nor an aunt, so if I wanted to see it and downloaded an SFF ticket, do they really think I or male companion could be refused entry?

I too thought of this, and have thought this when there have been student only screenings. It's on my doorstep (which might be why they sent it to me) but I too would be unable to go ... not that I'd be able to rustle up a 12-16 year old girl even had I been free. I dare say that the Vue staff would p*y as much attention as they usually do to these tickets, so the only real off putting thing to me would be the prospect of being stuck in a room of hormonal teenage girls. I love kids, but that's too much!
