Re: Best movie soundtrack of all time!
Some of the old noir soundtracks are really brilliant. The zither score to The Third Man is wonderfully jaunty even given the story's bleak subject matter (part of the reason for its greatness). The music in Touch of Evil perfectly complements the sleazy events onscreen. And the soundtrack of Chinatown, though not consistently amazing, has a theme tune that sticks in the memory long after the end credits.
And who could forget Bernard Herrmann's haunting score to Taxi Driver?

Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels. A bit of something from almost every genre.
Re: Best movie soundtrack of all time!
I would definitely say the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack, particularly "Kissing You" - Des'ree and
"Everybody's Free" - Quindon Tarver, and then the Inception soundtrack.

I would choose Ennio Morricone's music to the spaghetti westerns, just brilliant!
