Re: what are you upto right now...?
Tonight's task . . . .check the authenticity of a Rolex watch online.
My 89 year old dad is clearing out . . . well, the's not quite true . . . he lifts things out, looks at them and then puts them back in the same place! He found a Rolex watch belonging to his older brother which we think was b*ght in the 1950s. It's amazing how many models there are of Rolex watches but I'm stopping this tonight . . . tomorrow's another day!

I have been surfing the net in search of a cheap holiday.. Looks like me and friends will head to either Croatia, holland or Sweden! Only a few weeks to go! Has anyone been Croatia? Feedback please. Thanks

I'm pretty sure Sweden is incredibly expensive, maybe not to stay, but to b*y things like food. I've always heard bad things about Scandinavia in that regard. I think Croatia would be the cheapest. I've seen pictures of my photographer friend's holiday in Dubrovnik and it looks lovely!mugtabasalih wrote:I have been surfing the net in search of a cheap holiday.. Currently playing Tetris Battle, I think I might be addicted!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"
A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia are all beautiful and cheap. The place I used to go Budva is lovely, but a bit more commercial now. Isn't Sweden really expensive for Alcohol? vxcaitlinmorton wrote:I'm pretty sure Sweden is incredibly expensive, maybe not to stay, but to b*y things like food. Currently watching Southcliffe episode 3. Shall we stick with it? It's very dark, depressing, and brings back memories of Hungerford, Roaul Moult, Derek Bird to name a few. Harrowing, but great drama.

Just waiting for Gazza to turn up with a bucket of KFC !
I'm sticking with this, but have abandoned "Top of the Lake"

I loved Croatia, but I went before the tourists got there, plus I stayed with Croatians in Zagreb and split. Someone told me hvar is more relaxed than split. Ask Celini!
