Im not a motorsport fan Myself but actually really enjoyed the film and storyline. My Hubby is a big f1 fan. Oh dear Greenwich odeon was filming peoples reactions too Rush. They got Me. lol.

We were at Greenwich too but managed to dodge the microphones. They were quite aggressive, shoving them in people's faces before they'd even got out of their seats!

I thought the film was a bit in favour towards James Hunt though which I didn't like as he was basically an arrogant playboy who in my mind only won the championship because of Niki Lauda's accident.

Well that was exhilarating. I normally have no interest in Formula One racing but I was on the edge of my seat watching this (especially since I didn't know the outcome). Thrilling, well paced, well written, good character drama mixed in with comedy and a great score. Excellent performances from Hemsworth and Bruhl: they were both arrogant and yet likeable. The rivalry was explored well but Hunt's relationship with his wife seemed underdeveloped. 9/10.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

As an F1 fan I knew the back story around the rivalry between the two drivers, but Rush more than lived up to my expectations.

I'm always sceptical about films based on sport (Any Given Sunday a rare example of a cinematic sporting masterpiece). Rush was all that & a burst of KERS (had to throw an F1 reference in there).

I thought it was brilliant & my cousin loved it... setting him up nicely for his trip to Monza this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix.

Chris Hemsworth & Daniel Bruhl's portrayal of Hunt & Lauda were brilliant, and the visuals & score were immense. The bass & vibration of the screen at Westfield Stratford were perfect. Loved this film in every way.

Wow what a buzz that was! Westfield Shpeherds Bush was a great place to see this. Massive screen, lots of legroom too. I do remember James Hunt and Niki Lauda but couldn't remember the outcome of their rivalry, which made it even more exciting.

both Actors were great, totally getting the character right - there was no sign of Thor in Hemsworth Bruhl did look like a Roland Rat

Oh and when we left, were given the premiere tickets, which was a bonus for my collection

Definitely a candidate for best film of the year; incredibly immersive, brilliantly acted and consistently gripping. I'm not a formula 1 fan by any means but anyone can appreciate a story with such interesting characters and a story told this well. I much preferred Lauda to Hunt though!

Btw, I'll have you know that the subtitling was a bit sloppy, for example when Lauda says to his wife "If you love me, please don't say a word", he actually only said "Please don't say a word." They also didn't bother to translate the occasional "Arschloch" or any of Lauda's incredibly low-key civial marriage ceremony in the registry office. Not that it matters much, but I couldn't help noticing it.

Also, I read that Daniel Bruehl is fluent in German, English, French, Spanish and Catalan and "has a good knowledge of Japanese". I foresee a glittering international career for him.

It was 2 hours long and I thought it needed to be much longer. Too many of the stories were skipped over. Blink and you miss what happened to some people, in other cases you didn't even need to blink. This needed to be a mini series.
