Saw this afternoon with a cineworld code.

Very similar to Olympus Has Fallen. Finding it hard to believe that Tatum would have an 11 year old daughter. Entertained throughout and I do think this film took itself not as serious as OHF which is a good thing.

Saw this free with a Sky/Cineworld code to follow on immediately from the How I Live Now preview (it was even in the same auditorium - how convenient!) and I must say not only how much more I enjoyed it than I'd expected (possibly partly as an antidote to the preview; partly also because my expectations were low) but also what fabulous - and humorous - entertainment it is. It really was a total hoot, obviously intentionally in places, and an excellent piece of hokum which despite its length (131 mins) did not outstay its welcome.

A definite 8/10 from me.

I used another voucher yesterday to see this in the Craperdero - only about 8 people in the room o/

I thoroughly enjoyed this.Take it for what it is, a piece of entertaining nonsense. Channing Tatum looks hot and does action well, and the realtionship between in and Jamie Foxx shines. I could have done with out the daughter though. 7/10

hmm Jamie Fox as the President. I think this is the only aspect of WHD that is worse than Olympus Has Fallen. The best part is it keeps the villains vague and actually comical in their aims rather than the horribly implausible 'Korean' attack.

Some called Olympus has fallen a kind of Die Hard in the White House, which was a terrible misnomer that makes you wonder if they've even seen Die Hard - Olympus had none of its characters, charm, wit, or against the odds luck, even the action scenes were a full 2 notch below it. But this movie DOES have it and for the most part it is a virtual homage to the original DH movie - from the white vest Tatum wears to the red haired spirited wife he argues with, its all there, the humour, the amateur versus the colourful pros, the tempestuous daughter. Olympus = Die Hard 5 copy. White House Down = Die Hard 1 copy but with a touch of the Con Air humour too.

9/10

Olympus Hard Down Without a Vengeance 5.0

I mean really? This is such a copycat film. I wouldn't be surprised if the exact stage sets weren't reused, maybe even with the same CGI helicopters crashing into same model White Houses.

That said it was an enjoyable yarn with one or two novel features and a sufficiency of twists to keep it interesting.
It is perhaps a shame that this was released in same year as Olympus as it would have been more able to stand out alone.
Good performances all round, and the action doesn't disappoint.

A good solid 8/10

Saw this tonight and although it was watchable I did not think that the acting was very good and the overall feel of the movie was a bit "made for tv", could easily have been made in to a mini tv series rather than a big sceen movie. 6/10

Watched last night...I thought it was a good, solid well-made movie with lots of twists and action scenes. If you're into thrillers, this is a good one!
Only disappointment was Channing Tatum...he's not made for that role. He's way too young and too unbelievable. This could easily have been a good role for Kiefer Sutherland IMO.
Overall = 8.5/10

Saw in Glasgow using final Sky/Cineworld code. I really enjoyed this film and was glad to see it ws different in many ways from Olympus Has Fallen. I did guess one of the main baddies early on but didn't see the other one coming! Great use of final code!

This was a really good "leave the brain at home" action movie. Nothing complicated and it knew what it wanted to be.
And by the sounds of it, a lot better than Olympus Has Fallen...

Watched this on Friday night, only a few people there, as its been out for at least a month or so..
Not watched Olympus Has Fallen yet, so not much to compare to, but I did really enjoy myself with this movie.
Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx where a brilliant both comedic and action pair, with plenty of adrenaline-filled action sequences and a sturdy plotline.

8/10
