Re: Whip It
I was also at Empire Leicester Sq. I do love that cinema but they put us in screen 2 which is in the basement and it doesn't have a great incline. It got very full. If not all the seats were taken then I would say it was at 95% capacity.
I really enjoyed this, it was fun with some touching moments. It had quite a few well known names. Juliette Lewis was fantastic, she does play that kind of role well. I also liked their coach and some of the other girls on the team were great characters.
Not sure I understand the whole game though but it looked interesting. I would recommend it. 7.5/10.

Re: Whip It
Saw this Empire as well. It reminded me alot of Bend In Like Beckham the american roller derby version. It had a few laughs and I like the relationship she had with her parents as that was touching, but still I dont know what kind of audience it will reach. Glad I went to see it though and enjoyed it.

Re: Whip It
Allow me to have a little moan here, someone on MSE just posted on the free films that they've cancelled 10 tickets for tonight. 1 or 2 pairs I understand, but firstly to hog 10 tickets and then to cancel last minute 10 tickets! grrrrr *major sigh*
Re: Whip It
