I loved this. It is so incredibly funny with great tongue in cheek humour, poking fun at popular culture and a very comedic voice cast (especially Liam Neeson and Will Arnett). The jokes are very clearly aimed at adults so it is a highly enjoyable family film with plenty of entertainment for the parents as well as the children. I didn't really notice the 3D so it could have done better on that front but I left with a big smile on my face. 8/10.

"Everything Is Awesome",can't get that damn song out of my head.
Nice to meet up with our friends from Edinburgh at the Glasgow screening.
Kids loved it,don't know if there was much to keep adults entertained though.Saying that,I did like the Star Wars,Dumbledore and Gandalf sequences.

Re: The Lego Movie 3D
Everything is indeed Awesome!! Was at Glasgow too, kids got balloon swords/dogs and my friend's kids got their faces painted as Emmett and Lucy. I thought it was good, half the fun was watching the boys (3 and 4) watch the film. Liked the fact that it was like the lego video games and Batman was my hero!! 8/10
Re: The Lego Movie 3D
It brought out the kid in me - had to, cos the cinema only had children's 3 D glasses ! Sub-titles would have been 'awesome' cos the sound was missing to begin with.

Pre film entertainment was good as kids got their faces painted and balloon sculptor James made items to order, mostly swords, helmets, animals, etc. I was worried we'd spend half the film with gallons bursting but all quiet!
The film burst on to the screen and for the first 20mins it was like being on a roller-coaster . . .everything moved at great speed and I worried that it would burn itself out . . .it didn't!
As others have said, the film was indeed Awesome!
There was a story which had a start, a middle and an end (unlike another recent film
The story is that of "ordinary" Emmet who becomes the "the special one" and given the task of saving the world from the CEO of a capitalist company. Along the way he meets various well-recognised Lego characters incl Batman, Superman, etc. I loved the Good cop/Bad cop whose face rotated to show 2 different faces . . .eventually having good cop/smiley face erased. I found that there were so many verbal jokes which kids would miss but added to the enjoyment for adults.
I nearly didn't go to see the Lego Movie as I usually go to church and was 'billy no mates' going in this morning until I met up with other Fmukers in the back row. I am very glad I went to see this as I would not have usually pa*d to see a kid's film . . . .I'd have missed a treat which unleashed my inner child.
Great family film and just the right length!
