Gym yesterday was hard but I did it, still doing the light weights and my husband says he can see a slight difference already in my upper body so pretty happy with that. Diet wise not so bad but could be better! Gym again today as no chance of doing anything other than walking this weekend.

Have a good day everyone!!
What a fabulous weekend you have ahead and well done with all the workouts especially when you are noticing the results.

Delighted to hear that you are pain free stone-monkey and perfect seeking professional help.

Well I don't know what to say but I'm off work again today and going out for another birthday lunch - this time it is a carvery 8O This morning it is a quick Tesco shop for DD, taking her to the dentist (I know she's an adult but time factor and I assume that I'm p*ying  - How does a student on a grant that doesn't cover her accommodation costs earn too much when it is me who covers the short fall? :wall: ) then drop her off at the station for a 12:15 train. I know this might seem waffle but just explaining why I can't exercise this morning. But on a positive side if there is one with all this celebratory eating I can go for a walk after my meal so have already got my walking boots in my car and a change of clothes. o/ It will have to be a very long walk after a carvery

Diane65, my DD2 also thinks I can pull money out of the air.... must be a daughter thing but I'm not leaving out the possibility that sons can be just as annoying when it comes to p*ying for things.

However, went to the dentist myself last Thursday, it's going to cost £177 to do the work on my choppers, just wondering if I really need the hygienist? Most of my teeth are capped, hence the cost, and I know how to clean them. It's mainly that the caps need replacing.

Ok had to weigh and I have lost 1 kilo _0^ _0^ _0^
So a big thanks to everyone for the advice and support.

I have my usual exercises to do and a saucepan of veg soup on my exciting events calendar for today.

BUT have just noticed some over ripe bananas on the work surface and that means.......BANANA CAKE. Will make muffin style and then I can freeze until I have been a 'good girl' and then will allow myself one.

It's the little things that are keeping me sane at the moment. :D
edit
Tried to put a picture of the muffins here but failed :( Surprisingly have not eaten any yet and it's 17:09. There was a moment of clarity while I did the washing up..... I had forgotten to put the eggs in :wall: so I quickly removed items from the oven, beat them up with the eggs and put them back in before the little darlings knew what hit them phew

Hi folks,

Thanks Diane65. Enjoy York Moggers - I do love it down there. I almost moved there years ago. I had a job set up but struggled on the accomodation front so ended up in Bristol for a while.

Another good day, no pain - 10k on the treadmill and a 1 mile swim (extremely slowly). Later in the evening had a bit of a sore back and remedied it by bouncing up and down my swiss ball - it disappeared after a few minutes :-)

Today (friday) as well as being tea and cake day is weigh-in and exercise day - planned a 6km run on the treadmill, a 1 mile swim and a saunter down 'The water of leith walkway' from Slateford to Leith with my friend Jenny - its about 12 km then off to J Lewis to clean out the cake counter - ha ha....

Have a good day everyone :-)

Well done Baty on the weight loss that is just brilliant :cheer: and also saving the banana muffins which from experience I know are too yummy to waste :D

Stone_monkey I'm mega impressed with your determination. Enjoy your John Lewis coffee and cakes o/ The Manchester gang are going on mass tomorrow and luckily as I'm always one of the first to arrive I will have the best choice ;)
I'm on a long day today so I will have to resort to Belvita to keep me going as will be eating as I'm eating on the go. I'm also doing coffee and cakes on Sunday as a friend wants to treat me for my birthday - I know that it will seem with all these treats with different friends that they are imaginary friends but they are real and it's not just me pigging out on my own
I will do exercise on Saturday and Sunday as desperately need to.

Be good everyone and a few people appear to be missing from here.

Thanks Diane65, though I am not happy at the slow progress but not much more I can do without putting some real calorie burning exercise. Waiting for my next appointment with the physio and hope she can me some ideas as what to do,
I have eaten 1 muffin, 2 are on the counter but GS is coming to stay tonight so he will have one of those and the rest as bagged and in the freezer.

Stone-monkey, you should be a shadow of yourself with all that exercising, am really impressed.
Have a good weekend all

Hi folks,

Lost another 1lb this week now 14st 2lbs, not bad for spending 4 days eating and no exercise due to my back :-) Another day at the gym - did 6km slowly as it looks like I have injured my foot now :wall: it was and is feeling rather tender - no visible marking/swelling or anything just pain :tears: In the pool after that and did another 1 mile but extremely slowly as I almost gave up 3 times but persevered and got there :D

Never got my walk as I never heard from Jenny - she maybe slept in  never mind there is always next week :D

Never got to J Lewis either. Ended up with 6 apple pies for my weekly treat - made the mistake of opening as I was starving. Demolished them and have destroyed my appetite for dinner :wall:

I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you may be up to - take care folks :D o/ :D o/ :D o/ :D

Well done stone_monkey on the weight loss that is brilliant but as for the 6 apple pies :nono:
Sorry to hear about your foot maybe it's your body telling you to slow down as you do a heck of a lot of exercise
I sincerely hope that you do go for your John Lewis cake :cross:

I'm on a last ditch attempt to do something as I go away on Saturday and not put much effort into getting healthy
I did walk to have my John Lewis cake on Saturday plus on Sunday I was supposed to meet my friend for coffee and cakes (her treat) but I was good and had a sandwich instead of a cake and also walked there (3 mile round trip) but forgot that I had walked and did a spot of shopping - yikes that was a long walk back with 2 bags of shopping :noo:
I know they are not really good nutrition wise but I have had Tesco light choices meals for the last 2 evenings.

Menu of the day:
All bran
Roast beef salad on a granary roll
Mushroom stroganoff

I will fit in some exercise somehow - I know it is too little too late really but if I up my water at least my skin will look healthier :cross: Have a fun day everyone o/

York was wonderful but probably over did the grub and gin. We did walk a lot as our hotel was a good 10 mins from the people we were meeting up with and I love walking around York so much. So no formal exercise as such but my wee feet are a bit sore. Back on the light weights today, yesterday was a bust as we were just back and we had an eye test for DS, dentist for all and an assembly for DD to go to. Plenty of walking again but no time to just stand and do something lol. Only put on 1lb so pretty happy with that and should be back on track by the end of the week.

Well, my OH came back from Mexico last night ...... had curry(supermarket jobbie) and a bottle of wine to celebrate.... think I've put on the couple of lbs I lost :((

BUT I WILL be leaving my prison today, yea. OH's house is on a steep drive on a steep hill, only made it out once on crutches on my own in the month he was away and that was to get to the surgery, it nearly killed me so didn't go out unless someone came to get me.

Hopefully can get back into walking more than just room to room, though the supermarket was tricky last night. Only took one crutch, as you do when you think it'll be OK and it turns out not to be the case!!

But the sun is in a blue sky and I need get out, so maybe I can move some of the calories from last night... here's hoping.

Good luck this week everyone

So pleased that you had a fun time in York and 1lb is not a lot so well done.

My goodness you must have been going stir crazy not being able to get out and you have been amazing keeping your spirits up all the time.

Due to my inspirational friend I went for a power walk today amd managed to do 2 miles in 20 minutes but must admit my legs felt like jelly half an hour later then I had a go on a Flabelos machine for 10 minutes so feel well and truly tired now so all good.
