Well done on the fabulous weight and bmi achievements Stone Monkey. o/

Hope you can get a sympathetic hearing for your OU coursework. As EJ says, surely they will give you an extension to the deadline for the work if you explain that you´ve not been well. :cross:

Also, the best of luck for your run. o/

I got an email from a cycling chum yesterday inviting me to join him and some others on a bike ride on Tuesday morning. Really looking forward to it, and will be doing some bike servicing today in readiness. Hoping for good weather! :D

Chicken salad planned for lunch today to make up for yesterday's overindulgence at John Lewis . Their coffee and walnut cake is so sickly sweet , especially when combined with the squirty cream topped luxury hot chocolate. Will try and be more restrained and get something less yucky next time. Have fun everyone! ;)

Well OH has jet lag and his Mexican time hasn't settled into Welsh time yet so I find that we eat later and sleep in in the morning, although the sleeping in was more him than me ...honest. I have manged to get out more and walk around with the crutches so hope I've dropped a few calories.

Went to see my brother and my sister-in-law gave me some sort of velcro strappy boot thing to help with walking. Tried it on and started to shout GET IT OFF, there was padding around the ankle which squeezed me, the pain was excruciating. Anyway, long story short, we took out all the extra padding- it was for a 12 year old, re-tried and it does help to roll the foot and it is more stable than my current option. So hopefully will be up and about a bit more this week. When I asked why she hadn't taken it back to the hospital my SiL said they didn't want it as it would cost to much to sterilise it

Food wise :tears: hangs head in shame. It is so hard to be good when living with a person who says 'don't worry about it, what shall we eat tonight, ....curry ?' I am trying to have smaller portions but the temptation to have more is great. Also, the wine has made an appearance.

Hope Stone-monkey manages to get under the hour on the run, I should think the OU would have some leeway with your module.
Very envious of your cycling Preston1990 .

I think Diane65 has gone on her hols now, wonder if she tries new types of cake at her destinations? Will have to ask her when she gets back

Now, back to the exercises all the best to everyone

If Diane is not experimenting with a variety of cakes whilst on her holiday I for one shall be very disappointed.

Houston, we have a problem - it goes by the initials JL - mainly their cakes, lol. :D we should open a new page called 'The John Lewis Cake Appreciation Society' :D Saying that, I'll be visiting there on Friday after my weigh-in.

Did my 10k this morning - actually 10.24k in 1hr 6secs - so I smashed the hour mark as was my aim :D I have also got an even more painful foot. :wall: In hindsight I should never of ran but I was determined to do it and finish and wouldn't have listened to anyone - now I p*y the price - lol. Not liking to make things easy - 6 weeks until the Edinburgh perfect 10 - my next event - 10 miles. So its a trip to the pool once a day for the next 6 weeks and do some rehab on my foot o/ I shall be ready - :wall: :wall:

going to speak to my tutor tomorrow re: my ou assessment but it may be too late. Not a major problem as I think I have accrued enough points to past that part of my course with a reasonable score in the final two assessments. I already had an extension and unfortunately fell ill so blew that chance - maybe I'll hit my head off a wall for a change :wall: lol..

I hope everybody has a fruitful week - take care and goodluck with the goals o/ :cross: :D

Covered twenty nine point four miles on my bike ride yesterday. Very enjoyable (apart from the scary dog attack part 8O ) and nice to be out in the countryside again having a good old chat with friends in reasonable weather for once. :D

So sorry to hear about your freezer woes Stone Monkey. You have my sympathy. Our freezer defrosted last year when DD did not close the door properly and we didn't notice for a couple of days. Throwing hundreds of pounds worth of ruined food away was extremely annoying. :wall:

Going to make up a big crunchy salad today and have big bowlfuls of it throughout the day. Determined to make some inroads on my excess weight problem. ;) I've decided that I will only allow myself a John Lewis cake visit this month if I can lose 6 pounds before the end of the month. o/

Be good everyone! :D

Well done on that bike ride, Preston and good luck with the John Lewis cake vow. Hope you manage it.

Sorry to hear about that freezer problem, Stone Monkey. If you lost a lot I think you can claim it on household insurance.

Missing Diane!

No weight loss to report as have not been very good lately. Hubby and I spent the last two nights in a hotel for my birthday and ate a huge cooked breakfast each morning and two course meal with wine at night. Eldest daughter and her husband taking me out tomorrow for a posh afternoon tea as part of my birthday treat. It is now March so I have two JL vouchers to use this month and my friend is taking me out for a glass (or two ) of red medicine next week.

I have a wedding to go to at the end of May and had planned to lose some weight so I could b*y a new dress for it so will have to be good in the next few weeks or I'll be fatter not thinner!! :noo:

Sounds as though you are having a fabulous time, biggins! I can see it must be really difficult to lose weight when you are so busy and have so many special occasions to enjoy. Mind you, you seem so busy that you might get some exercise dashing between functions - and maybe lots of dancing at the wedding?
