Basically another fair stay-busy movie for Phase2.
It's a superhero film, is any of it likely to be probable?? lol
No, you haven't gone far enough - superhero films are impossible, not merely improbable.
What I find improbable (within the 'movie universe' and not our universe, if you get that difference) is that
HYDRA existed within a body as powerful as SHIELD for decades unnoticed.
. That's really hard to accept, especially since Rogers and Nat take a matter of days to unravel it, all hell breaks lose and yet whilst no one else notices.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

It does what it says on the tin; things exploding, car chases, video-game fights, great 3D and CGI, wafer-thin plot with more holes than Wentworth golf course, weak villain with worst toupee in movie history, product placement, couple of laughs, dialogue written by committee, promise of next instalment et al. Time went quickly, though 135 minutes was too long. As might be gleaned by the foregoing, I'm not a superhero fan; I enjoyed Thor 2 more.

I found this to be a bit of a disappointment especially after the fantastic Avengers Movie.
Here's my review:

I'm not really looking forward to this. I didn't think the first one was very good, so don't know if i'll be watching this.

I'm a bit torn about this film. On one hand, I so much enjoyed the breeziness of the characters, their small talk banters and the quite awesome action and fight choreagraphy set pieces.
My big problem with it though, is that there was too much ingredients that spoiled the broth leading to much of it being undercooked. I loved that many references were made to the first Captain America but it had no emotional impact because not enough time was spent on knowing Steve's closest friends during the war. Black Widow was sassy and fun but again, as in Avengers and Iron Man 2, her character is still half baked. In fact almost every element of the film's narrative is half baked and mostly predictable.
Yet, I really enjoyed the vibrancy and energy of the movie. I love the characters, they really shine, from Jackson's badass Nick Fury to Redford's gravitas top player character to the now very re-assuring performance of Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Its also got the vibe of a major summer blockbuster which makes this dull winterish release date puzzling).
Its just a damn shame that the narrative is so convoluted and lacking dramatic impact, so much so, I can only find myself rating this
7/10
But it will be a film I'd love to watch again on Blu Ray despite my gripes...and maybe, as often happens I would appreciate the film more second time as has happened with a couple of recent blockbusters such as Man of Steel.

She really needs her own film at this point. Would rather have that then ant man.

Saw this on Friday and absolutely LOVED it! Not as good as The Avengers, but at this point it is definitely the best sequel of any Marvel movie.
9/10 from me, largely because it's got me intrigued to the impact it has on the rest of the Marvel Universe and it makes more sense to me that it came before Guardians of the Galaxy rather than have the summer slot, it just wouldn't have felt like enough time passed between that and Avengers 2 for all the changes to feel ingrained into the universe.

Quite enjoyed this sequel - the first Cpt America was one of the weaker marvel films. Agree with the comments about plot a little thin and average bad guy - Black Widow definitely needs more screen time
Would only recommend to die hard marvel fans if not wait for blu-ray.
