I'm off to watch this tonight, and really looking forward to it after reading your reviews! I think Tina Fay is undersold in the UK & for some reason her stuff doesn't go down as well as it does in America. Happy she's managed to do something this big!

I walked out 1 hour in. I just couldn't take anymore, the characters were unlikeable and Carell and Fey playing themselves with no straight character to play off, making the loud passive aggressive sarcastic schtick even more painful, the premise so bad I couldn't bare witness to anymore once someone who seemed a lot like Leon from Curb was screaming like a girl for 5 minutes, that was me done, I would only regret it if the next scene had Common and Taraji reprise their Smokin' Aces characters and shoot the hell out of the annoying leads.
Just. Awful.

Saw this in a very full Edinburgh Fountain Park tonight.

Thought this was a good film and glad I went to see it. Catered for lots of peoples tastes, funny, car chases, unexpected shocks/laughs. Not a lot of chemistry between the leads but they can't always get it right can they? Thought the real Triplethorns were really good and worked as a couple

I quite enjoyed this; it was fine for an undemanding evening out and not too long, which is great if you don't want a really late night. Not one of the best comedies I've seen but I admit to laughing at the pole-dancing scene and I was in the mood for something light-hearted and escapist. 7/10 from me. And loads of trailers beforehand, whereas usually there are none - very odd.

Hi there

I thought this was funny, silly and far fetched, but very funny.

Much better than Dear John, which I saw last week.

My husband preferred last week's film, as he said it was more realistic. However, sometimes you just need something silly and naff to take your mind off things.

When we got married, we said we'd go on a date each week... if this is what happens, God help us!!!

The Vue Islington was slow to fill up and we had the world's most annoying people next to us - a couple on a date night perhaps? They were drinking wine from a bottle, noisily crunching popcorn, kissing, talking, checking their phone, kissing again... BLERGH.

The film was good but it could have been better. Hope folks stayed around for the takeouts in the credits, they were really funny. Is "Date Night" some kind of American thing couples do? Never heard it called like that before. It was entertaining enough so I will give it 7.5/10.

The plot was very, very silly and exaggerated. There were some funny, madcap scenes, which I admit I did laugh at. But not as good as I was expecting. 7/10.

I was also expecting a much better, funnier film and 3 out of 4 in our family were very disappointed.

The people next to Beate were behind me and I was also annoyed. Islington Vue is one of the best cinemas for legroom but they managed to keep kicking my chair anyway. And they were the noisiest popcorn eaters on the planet.

Only redeeming feature of the evening was greeting Beate and OH!
