I've got tickets and wondered if I could be bothered after reading all your comments. I did and liked the songs....

Agree with above comments re. makeup. Bob Gaudio was only 48 when inducted in Hall of Fame in 1990 but the makeup had him looking about 85!
That said, I enjoyed the film. Lightweight in parts and poorly directed, the songs were good and the finale showed how the film could have been.

Haha. I hadn't expected many to even know who Pinky and Perky are.
Shame on your poor mum. Lol.

Plodding, pedestrian, unchallenging and undemanding pop biopic, coming soon to a Sunday afternoon near you. Far too long.

The Islington screening I attended on the 16th showed a subtitled version! which was careless, and irritating throughout.

Twelve years ago I saw a doomed musical called '125th Street' at the Shaftesbury, about the Apollo Theatre in Harlem; it performed some Four Seasons numbers with the spirit and panache 'Jersey Boys' eschewed until the closing scene.
