Right, well, that's the end of playing with the boys, now the rest of this journey is just about me. Still going, the weather is getting decidedly hotter and I'm determined to look good this summer.
Takeaway to celebrate? Nah. Gym.

I know I'm my own worse energy as I have started to do extra work most evenings (OH has been made redundant hence I'm taking on extra work) so literally have 5 mins between walking in and going out hence eating crap.asamaic wrote:Thanks, ladies.![]()
Diane65, it doesn't actually matter when you eat, it's what you eat. When I go out 4 nights on the trot, I have a snack between work and play (like some soup) and have a meal after the show/film. M&S do some nice fuller for longer/count on us ready meals you can cook quickly if you don't fancy batch cooking healthy stuff in advance. Having something between work and the cinema is necessary otherwise you end up eating crap and/or being prone to grabbing a takeaway on the way home.
Trust me on this, I go out most nights and have managing hunger/sugar levels down to a fine art now!
Eating lots of fruit and veg on a normal day is important but on a super busy day, you just need to eat fewer calories than you burn.
Planning is key!

I have taken a leaf out of your book johnmilton and as I was undecided whether to watch a free cricket match and no exercise or go to the Manchester parade and have time for exercise I took the latter option. Just done my Tracy Anderson DVD and my goodness it was heard work - I was actually panting as hadn't got my breathing right and just generally let my fitness levels plummitJohn Milton wrote:Like Diane, I've been finding myself pushed for time at the moment. Between long hours at work, a two hour commute and the usual domestic commitments, it feels like I've got little time for exercise and generally looking after myself!
Squeezed in a quick workout this morning, consisting of chin ups, dips, squats, crunches and press ups. Bit of a walk with the OH today and we're off for a cycle tomorrow too.
Hope everyone is well!
