Exactly as asamaic says. We're all hear to support you and we all have different takes on exercise/ food etc and we inspire each other.

You're doctor has a cheek asamaic - doesn't he know that you are a babe now!!! ;) When I went to the doctors last year for the dreaded 3 year woman's thing I too got weighed and had lost 35lb so let's hope I don't have to go for anything as I have put a lot back on but back on a mission.

Menu of the day
Milkshake with banana and raspberries (first time I have frozen bananas and it does work - I had some bananas going a bit brown so if you just peel them and put them in a freezer bag spread out otherwise they will stick then make sure you have no air in the bag pop them in the freezer and just perfect for milkshakes. It does taste delicious and I'm a green banana girl).
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 7243,d.ZGU I have even got my mint from a patient - he gave me a bundle so I used some then froze the rest on a baking tray and then popped it in a tub in the freezer to use as and when I need it. served with a toasted pitta bread. I b*y the value natural yoghurt as it has less fat and sugar than the rest (plus cheaper) and natural yoghurt with my frozen blackberries for dessert.
Chipolatas with sweet potato (fried with one cal spray), chestnut mushrooms and tomatoes.

Sounds yummy, Diane65. o/ I really need to get a blender.

I love sweet potatoes, they're so delicious. o/ Such an easy swap from regular chips. Have you tried Quorn sausages? One of my "man-must-eat-meat" colleagues has swapped some of the meat in his diet for veggie substitutes and he's found that such an easy way to shave some calories off his meal plan.

I was skeptical of fake meat myself, but the Linda McCartney sausages aren't bad and much lower in fat than normal chipolatas. I'm always trying to cut calories so I have enough left over to have something decadent for pudding! :p

My blender is 26 years old and still going strong. I've never tried Quorn sausages but if it saves on calories and fat so that I can have a dessert I'll certainly give it a go. I have had the Quorn cottage pie which is really nice. I have just b*ght these http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&ai=C_ ... ng%252Bads for £1.50 at Home Bargains which are pure indulgence for 82 calories each.

Thanks, Diane! A relief to see it getting back to a more realistic number!

Biggins! :D Bit of exercise, not boozing every night (and day!) and eating more reasonable meals, rather than the gluttony of all-inclusive meals!

I swear, I really have no off switch and I will just keep eating if I can!

Sometimes a large portion of 'holiday weight' is just water weight, so it can go away quite quickly when you start eating normally again and drinking enough fluid. Still a victory either way to see the scale go down!

Stayed up far too late eating cheese with a nice young man. Clearly I also lost my off switch. Blew the diet and plans for the weekend, but hey, sometimes it's worth it. o/ Contemplating whether to bother with a last minute review request - I do need to sleep at some point! I'm not sure if there's any science in this, but I do think not getting enough sleep is not helpful to losing/maintaining. Anyone else felt this?

Hope everyone else is being better behaved. Oh, pre-cheese, I hit 2.5 stone down. o/ Re-sult.

Totally agree re the sleep issue. Your body can't function properly without sufficient quality sleep - I have just been woken up by a hungry cat but hoping to get another hours sleep. Well done on the 2.5 stone that is just fabulous plus having the company of a lovely young man must be all positive.
