What was your first score?

it was a non numerical expression.

I went in with a closed mind last time. This time I went into a IMAX.

Interesting, I plan to see it again and on IMAX in the hope I can come to a conclusion as to how I feel.

imax was a key for me, the environments were something else (and apparently no greenscreening??!)

Did you find it overly loud? I had heard that about the greenscreening too but that's a Nolan trait isn't it?

I see, didnt know that - its still difficult to believe watching it.

It was hugely loud, but you lose a bit of volume of you sit closer to the screen.

the downside of watching scifi this good, is that everything else scifi looks crummy by comparison, so you cant really see anymore scifi for the day/next few days without being bored by it.

I couldn't sit close to an IMAX if you pa*d me. My poor eyes wouldn't be able to cope. Now I'm worried my ears might have a fit too lol

I didn't enjoy this. It was too long and I'm afraid always hated physics, so way too much for my poor wee brain on a Saturday night. Also Matt Damon - he really wsnt at all believable. The end was also too much for me. OH loved it.

Finally went to see this, using one of those Groupon codes. Wow! I loved it.
I went on my own because my partner had been told it was a bit like Inception! I didn't like Inception either, but I thought this was fantastic. I thought it was unusual and jolting how it switched between being a family film that was very small in scope, to being a gigantic beast of a film that was not only global but galactical in scale. I found that really interesting and engaging, though I can see why some people don't like that.
I didn't know much more about Interstellar other than the review in Empire, and what I had read on here, and I'm glad I went along for the whole ride.
Having said how much I enjoyed it, it also seems strange to describe it as an enjoyable experience when it describes the end result of decades of environmental degradation and human destruction. It all felt like a last chance warning to humanity.
I found the sound a bit odd in places, and I couldn't work out the filmic rules about when it should be deathly quiet. I watched it in 2D as there were no 3D showings nearby, so I do wonder what it would be like in 3D or even IMAX.
I did feel that it was a bit long, but that's probably because I started needing the loo after about two hours, and as I didn't dare miss anything by going out, the remainder of the film was a bit uncomfortable!

There isn't a 3D print. Just 2D digital, 35mm and 70mm both which can be seen on IMAX.

Finally got to see this.

Vue Islington was packed last night, may be it was Orange Wednesdays. Thanks to Rainey, I used my codes.

A very intelligent, more than a sci-fi film, so thought-provoking, with time and relativity, 4th and 5th dimenions, wormhole and black hole. The time in space is a lot slower than here on earth. Reminds me of a Chinese poet that wrote for 7 days in the mountains a 1000 years on earth.

A lot to take in and understand, but the visuals, the music, the acting, all were brilliant.
