Hey can a newbie come?

Looks like the Transpennine Express from Manchester is still a couple of weeks off. Must decide which train we are all getting if want to travel together. Getting exciting now as once the trains are booked it feels real.
I know that MrGlass has the Friday all organised. Have we any plans for the Saturday and/or Sunday? I am trying not to take over organising things

I can't help myself but I'll promise to be good. There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh it will be a fun weekend.

If we are having a meet up/meal do we need to do a poll re eating etc in case we need to book tables? Sorry I can't help myself

When will the official meet be and what will it include? Just we up north have been discussing a place for everyone to get together. I really want to try this activity and apparently there are two different place that does it. http://www.escapeteambuilding.co.uk/ and https://canyouescape.co.uk/. Looks fun. I recently swap tesco vouchers to use for Camera Obscua so it might be worthwhile to see if there are other attractions which you can use tesco vouchers to save money.

If you haven't booked accommodation yet some of the hotels have sales just now so good time as any to book.

The cheap fares have just been released from Manchester to Edinburgh

We now have our rail tickets organised - in both directions. We have had our outward journey booked for some weeks, but have found cheaper return tickets this week.

So, all sorted, and really looking forward to our visit to Edinburgh in March.

"YOU PEOPLE" are aware of the date!! yinster was asking what TIME of day you all want the offical meet - morning, mid-day, afternoon?? what does it include - are you all wanting to meet at place for coffee or meet later for lunch if you want to do some sightseeing on your own in the morning?? We need an idea of what you all want to do before a venue can be arranged.

eg. Presumably lunchtime will involve a meal and as there will be a lot of us, a mass booking needs to be arranged.
Around this various sightseeing events need to be timed and sorted into what's possible.

Can I suggest the official meet up time to be similar to the previous two years? i.e. say 12noon and finish at 4pm and if people wanted to do sightseeing (together or separately) or whatever, they do so beforehand and afterwards as in previous years, which seems to work very well, which ties in with people's travel arrangements etc.
